Buddha’s Light Jade is not a single pickup. It is assembled from two campaign rewards, Buddha’s Light Jade: Yang from Palace of Annals and Buddha’s Light Jade: Yin from Bodhi Sea. Once you have both halves, the combined jade is placed on the pedestal at the top of Buddha’s Light Pagoda on Halo Peak in Qinghe, and the placement only works at Wu Hour. The steps below follow the November 2025 guides from All Things How and NoBS Game Guides, which are the most detailed sources available for this item.
What you need before you start
Check each of these before you travel to Halo Peak. The placement step fails silently if any one of them is missing.
- Buddha’s Light Jade: Yang, awarded by completing the Palace of Annals campaign quest.
- Buddha’s Light Jade: Yin, awarded by completing the Bodhi Sea campaign chapter.
- Qinghe progress that makes Halo Peak active. The guide says your Qinghe campaign progress must reach this point before the pagoda location is available.
- At least 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points. The guide lists this as the threshold for unlocking the final Jianghu Legacy quest, The Promised Light.
- The Wayfarer in Sundara Land. Speaking with this NPC is listed as a required unlock step for The Promised Light.
Step-by-step route to the pagoda
- Complete the Palace of Annals campaign quest to receive Buddha’s Light Jade: Yang.
- Complete the Bodhi Sea campaign chapter to receive Buddha’s Light Jade: Yin.
- In Qinghe, reach 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points, then speak with the Wayfarer in Sundara Land. This reveals or starts The Promised Light, the final Jianghu Legacy quest.
- Travel to Halo Peak and climb to the top of Buddha’s Light Pagoda.
- Set the in-game time to Wu Hour, which the guide gives as 11:00 to 1:00 in-game (read as 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).
- Interact with the pedestal to place the Light Jade. The guide says this opens the pagoda entrance below.
Where each half comes from
The two halves come from separate campaign routes, and each one is needed for the final placement. The table shows what each source establishes.
| Half | Campaign source | Sources that name it | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buddha’s Light Jade: Yang | Palace of Annals campaign quest | All Things How (November 21, 2025); NoBS Game Guides (November 19, 2025); Game8 search excerpt | Awarded on first completion of the quest, according to All Things How. |
| Buddha’s Light Jade: Yin | Bodhi Sea campaign chapter | All Things How (November 21, 2025); NoBS Game Guides (November 19, 2025); Game8 search excerpt | Awarded on first completion of the chapter, according to All Things How. |
Both halves are required, and neither one can stand in for the other. Because the awards are tied to first completion, replaying a campaign will not produce a second copy.

If the pedestal says you are missing a half
If the pedestal indicates that both Yin and Yang are needed, the cause is almost always one of two things: a campaign that has not been fully completed, or a half that is not in your inventory. Check your campaign journal for both Palace of Annals and Bodhi Sea, confirm that each quest shows as finished, and then check your inventory for both items. If both halves are present and the pedestal still refuses placement, confirm that the time is within Wu Hour and that you are standing at the top of the pagoda rather than at its base.
Why the timing matters
Placement is gated by in-game time, not by location alone. The guide describes Wu Hour as 11:00 to 1:00 in-game. If you arrive at the pagoda outside that window, you can still climb it, but the pedestal will not accept the jade. Plan your trip around the in-game clock rather than your real-world schedule, and wait at the pagoda or adjust the time if you arrive early.

How current this route is
The walkthroughs that describe this route were published in November 2025. The Game8 entry was reached only as a search-result excerpt, and the full page could not be read, so its details are less certain than those of the two guides. None of these is official current-version documentation, and the official map page was not accessible when this route was checked. If a later patch has changed the Qinghe quest gating or the pagoda’s time requirement, the in-game journal is the authority to follow.
If you searched for this under a different phrasing, such as “Buddha’s Light Jade location” or “Buddha’s Light Jade Yin and Yang,” the route above covers the same item.
