Candle Holders are an Uncommon recyclable loot item in ARC Raiders, and they are tied to Residential loot containers. The most consistently named places to search are Grandioso Apartments and Plaza Rosa in Buried City, and Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence on Dam Battlegrounds. Neither the community wiki nor the guide below guarantees a container or spawn point at any of them, so treat these areas as the best places to look rather than fixed locations.
Where Candle Holders appear
Two sources cover this item. The community-maintained ARC Raiders Wiki Candle Holder page was last modified on 4 April 2026 and lists Residential loot locations on Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City. The Shacknews location guide by Sam Chandler, published 8 January 2026, names more Residential areas, including several on Blue Gate. The table below combines both lists so you can see where they agree.
| Map | Residential area | ARC Raiders Wiki (modified 4 April 2026) | Shacknews guide (8 January 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buried City | Grandioso Apartments | Listed | Listed |
| Buried City | Plaza Rosa | Listed | Listed |
| Buried City | Santa Maria Houses | Not stated | Listed |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Pale Apartments | Listed | Listed |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Ruby Residence | Listed | Listed |
| Blue Gate | Village | Not stated | Listed |
| Blue Gate | Ruined Homestead | Not stated | Listed |
| Blue Gate | Abandoned Housing Project | Not stated | Listed |
The four Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds areas that both sources name are the strongest starting points. The Blue Gate areas come from the Shacknews guide alone, so they are leads rather than confirmed locations.
How to search efficiently
- Pick a map that has one of the named Residential areas, starting with Buried City or Dam Battlegrounds if you want the most overlap between sources.
- On the map, look for residential zones marked with a person icon, which Shacknews says indicates a loot zone. Zones with a place name such as apartment, housing, or residence are also candidates.
- Search the residential containers inside the area. The wiki ties Candle Holders to Residential loot containers, so general searches of other container types are unlikely to yield them.
- If a search turns up nothing, move to another named Residential area on the same map or on a different one. Neither source identifies a fixed spot within an area.
What to expect from a search
No source gives a drop rate or comparative odds for any single area. The only concrete example is from one Shacknews run: the author found a Candle Holder in a random Plaza Rosa container, and found none after searching all of the Grandioso Apartments containers during that session. That is one reported outing, not a statistic, so a long empty search in one area is not a sign that the item is missing from the game. Rotating between the named areas is the practical approach.

Recycling value and current Projects
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists the recycling return for a Candle Holder as 8 Metal Parts and the salvage return as 4 Metal Parts. These are in-game item values, not drop statistics. The wiki states that no current Projects require Candle Holders. The Shacknews guide, from January 2026, mentions the Flickering Flames Project, so project requirements have changed since that guide was written. If you are deciding whether to keep or recycle the item, check the wiki’s current Project listing first.

As of October 2026, the newest source here is the wiki revision from April 2026, and the Shacknews guide is nine months old. Loot tables and Project requirements can change with game patches, so an area that was reliable in January may have changed. The wiki is maintained by its community rather than by the developer, and it is the more recently updated of the two. Where the two disagree, the wiki’s more recent revision should carry more weight.
