Exact location of the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak
Travel to the waterfall northeast of Demeniss City, in the Golden Plains area. The relevant entrance is not a normal cave mouth: the passage is concealed behind the waterfall. The cloak is not picked up from the outside or awarded by a separate quest in the available location guides. It is a chest item inside the cave.

Some guides call the location Warrior’s Soul Cave, while others use Warrior’s Soul Cavern. Those names refer to the same waterfall location in the guides that describe this pickup. This distinction matters because the Dark Marksman set has multiple pieces, and searching for another set marker can lead you to a different item.

- Reach the waterfall northeast of Demeniss City and Golden Plains. Use those two regional references to orient yourself rather than looking for a conventional dungeon entrance.
- Move to the base of the waterfall. Your character must be positioned on the ground directly in front of the falling water.
- Face the waterfall. The entry action is directional, so do not activate Stab while approaching from the side or while facing away from the water.
- Use Stab. The location guide identifies Stab as the action that lets you pass through the waterfall. Ordinary movement into the water is not described as an alternative entrance.
- Continue through Warrior’s Soul Cave. Once inside, follow the passage until you reach the treasure chest.
- Open the chest. The chest contains the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak. Looting it completes the acquisition; there is no separate pickup described for the cloak.

What to do if the waterfall entry does not work
Check your position
Return to the foot of the waterfall and stand directly against the approach to the falling water. The documented method assumes that you are at the base and facing the waterfall. If you are on a ledge, in shallow water beside it, or too far away, reposition before trying the attack.
Confirm that you are facing the water
Turn the character toward the waterfall before activating Stab. The guide describes the action as a way to pass through the waterfall, so direction is part of the method. Repeating the input while facing along the cliff or away from the water is unlikely to trigger the entrance.
Use the action rather than normal movement
Walking, jumping, or swimming into the falling water is not listed as the entry method. Activate Stab specifically. If the game shows no response, verify that the input you are pressing is still assigned to Stab.

Use the controls menu to review your current Stab binding. The PS5, Xbox, and PC combinations above are default values reported by the guide; custom layouts, accessibility changes, or platform-specific profiles can replace them.
Try the action again after correcting the setup
Once you are at the base, facing the waterfall, and using the active Stab binding, repeat the action. The available directions do not describe a key, quest, or item requirement that must be completed before entering this cave.

Finding the chest once inside
The cloak is in a treasure chest inside Warrior’s Soul Cave. The route information does not specify multiple branches, a puzzle, a boss, or a required quest objective between the waterfall and the chest. Therefore, the reliable sequence is simply to enter with Stab, proceed into the cave, and inspect the chest rather than searching for an exterior loot prompt.
If you enter the waterfall area but cannot find the item, check that you have crossed the hidden entrance and are inside the cave proper. A chest marker outside the cave or an unrelated Dark Marksman marker can point to another set piece. The independent guides agree on the essential identifying features: a waterfall in northeastern Demeniss and a chest in the cave behind it.

Optional map coordinate
A Gamer Guides database entry places the cloak chest at Pywel X: 11923, Y: 11087. Treat this as a supplementary navigation aid, not as an official map reference. The database page does not explain its coordinate system, so the numbers cannot be safely converted into a different map or assumed to use the same display convention as your in-game map. Use the waterfall northeast of Demeniss as the primary locator, and use the coordinates only if your map or an external interactive map explicitly supports that system.
How this cloak fits the Dark Marksman set
The cloak is one component of the Dark Marksman armor set. The set pieces are obtained at separate locations, so the waterfall chest should not be confused with the locations of the set’s other items. The available set guide identifies this chest as the cloak’s location; it does not establish an alternate acquisition method or a second chest for the same piece.

The community item entry reproduces the cloak’s in-game description as:
“A plate cloak once worn by Samara, the Sandwatcher. The fabric is heavily permeated with the stench of gunpowder. It was dyed with a pitch black color, making it impossible to tell if it is actually stained with gunpowder.”
The text identifies Samara, the Sandwatcher, as the cloak’s former wearer and emphasizes its black dye and gunpowder scent. It is flavor text attached to the item, not a separate instruction for finding the chest.
