Where to mine Darkryte
Beebom’s guide, updated December 8, 2025, gives the most specific route found in published sources, and The Forge Roblox Wiki’s ore list agrees that Darkryte comes from Volcanic Rock. To reach it:
- Travel to the Forgotten Kingdom area in The Forge.
- Find the Ruined Caves inside the Forgotten Kingdom.
- Locate the Volcanic Depths within the Ruined Caves.
- Mine Volcanic Rocks. Darkryte is the ore this source returns from them.
The sources do not establish spawn coordinates, any access requirement for the Volcanic Depths, or a marker showing the exact path from the area’s entrance. If you are stuck at a specific step, check the current in-game layout, because the wording of these guides is community-written rather than from the developer.
How rare Darkryte is
Every source classifies Darkryte as Mythical, the rarity tier the ore list uses. The published chance per mining roll is not consistent:

The two most recent data points favor 1 in 6,655, but none of these pages is an official developer source, so neither figure is confirmed as the live rate. Each value is a per-roll chance as reported by the source, and it should not be treated as a guaranteed result of any number of rocks mined.
What Darkryte does in armor
Darkryte is an armor-relevant ore. The points below come from community sources and should be checked against the game:

- Rarity: Mythical.
- Multiplier: 6.3x, per the Forge Roblox Wiki ore list and Beebom’s guide.
- Damage negation: a 15% chance to negate damage or incoming attacks when used in armor.
- Listed price: $94.5 on the Forge Roblox Wiki ore list. This is a wiki value, not a figure shown by the developer.
- Phantom Step trait: community data lists a trait with a 1.5% to 15% chance, usable only on armor. Trait wording differs between sources, so treat these numbers as unverified.
The Fandom wiki’s index entry describes the ore this way: “A shadowy ore that absorbs light. Rumored to be forged under eclipses.”
Crafting uses
The Forge Guide, a maintained community data guide, lists Darkryte in recipes for weapons, armor, and other ores. These recipes come from community data rather than developer confirmation, so verify them in the game before you commit rare materials to a craft.
