Drake General Dye is in the Traveller’s Chest at camp: five bottles are placed there when Baldur’s Gate 3 is connected through the Larian Launcher. On Steam, link your Larian account to Steam as well. Each bottle dyes one piece of equipment, and the result varies by item.

- Open your inventory and right-click Drake General Dye.
- Choose Combine.
- Place the equipment you want to recolor in the other slot.
- Confirm to apply the dye.
Drake General Dye is a single-use, very rare cosmetic consumable. It recolors equipment materials such as fabric, leather, and metal. The color can look different from one item to another, so the name alone does not guarantee a particular red-and-gold appearance. Applying a new dye replaces the existing dye rather than layering over it; use Dye Remover to remove a dye from an item. More detail is available in the dye mechanics reference.
