There is no single answer for every Minecraft player: duplication glitches depend on whether you play Java or Bedrock, your exact game build, and whether you are in single-player, a Realm, or a server. The sources available do not verify a specific method for the latest releases, so older videos and bug reports are not proof that a glitch still works.
What the current version evidence says
Minecraft’s official release changelog index lists separate Java and Bedrock release streams. At the time it was checked on October 8, 2026, the index included Java Edition 26.3 and Bedrock 26.52 hotfix entries. The index provides version context; it does not confirm or catalog working duplication glitches.
A Hex Gaming video published August 13, 2026 claims to show duplication glitches for Bedrock 26.4, with some methods described as working in Realms and others as single-player-only. That is a creator claim about the stated build, not independent verification, and it does not establish compatibility with later Bedrock releases or Java. See the video search result.
Why a method may not work for you
- Edition: Java and Bedrock are separate release streams. A method claimed for one should not be assumed to work in the other.
- Exact build: A method for an earlier release may stop working after an update. Check the build installed on your device, not just the version named in an old video.
- World context: Single-player, Realms, and servers can behave differently. A claim that applies in one setting does not establish that it works in the others.
- Item scope and reproducibility: A claim should specify what it duplicates and whether someone has recently reproduced it on the stated edition, build, and environment.
How to judge a claimed duplication glitch
- Identify your edition and build. Note whether you are playing Java or Bedrock and record the exact version shown by your game.
- Match the environment. Check whether the demonstration was made in single-player, a Realm, or a server, and compare it with where you intend to play.
- Check the claim’s date and scope. Look for the exact build and item or block named. A broad “latest version” label is not enough when the game has moved on since publication.
- Look for a reproducible demonstration. Prefer a recent test that clearly shows the stated build and environment. Treat comments, forum posts, and creator descriptions as leads rather than confirmation.
What old bug reports and community posts can tell you
Mojang bug-tracker entries document reports associated with particular versions, not standing instructions for current builds. The reports available here concern Java 1.20.1 and snapshot 20w46a, and each is labeled as a duplicate: the Java 1.20.1 item-duplication report and the 20w46a furnace report. Neither establishes that the reported behavior works in current releases.

A Reddit thread asks whether block duplication has been found for Java 26.1.2. Individual commenters say recent methods may have been patched and warn that videos can misstate cross-edition compatibility. Those comments reflect player reports, not authoritative confirmation. A Bedrock 26.4 video, a Java 26.1.2 forum discussion, and older tracker reports each apply to different evidence and version contexts. None verifies a method across the later builds listed in the official changelog index. Unless a claim has been reproduced on your exact edition, build, and play environment, its current status is unconfirmed—not proof that no duplication glitches exist.
