Buy for the way you plan to play: choose a Commander deck to start playing Commander, Play Boosters or Draft Night for draft and Sealed, a paired Theme Deck for a simple two-player Standard game, or a Bundle for boosters plus accessories. Collector Boosters are aimed at premium treatments, while a prerelease pack is for event play. Lorwyn Eclipsed released for tabletop on January 23, 2026; its published MSRPs are reference points, not current store prices.
Choose by how you want to play
| Your goal | Product to consider | Why it fits | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Play Commander right away | Commander deck | A ready-to-play 100-card deck with commanders, tokens or counters, a reference card, and a deck box. | Wizards does not rank the two decks by strength; compare their themes and decklists to choose one. |
| Draft or play Sealed with packs | Play Boosters | Wizards identifies them as the boosters used for Lorwyn Eclipsed Draft and Sealed. | Pack contents vary; no individual card is guaranteed. |
| Host a group draft | Draft Night | Supplies 12 Play Boosters, lands, tokens, a draft insert, and one Collector Booster; Wizards positions it for Pick-Two Draft with friends. | Compare its current price with the cost of buying the packs you need separately. |
| Get packs and accessories together | Bundle | Includes nine Play Boosters, basic lands, a foil promo, reference cards, a die, and a storage box. | The included items do not establish that the Bundle costs less than buying components separately. |
| Start with a paired Standard experience | 60-card Theme Deck | Ready-to-play decks are described by Wizards as a two-player experience when paired. | Check availability and current format legality before buying for Standard play. |
| Play prerelease Sealed | Prerelease Pack through an event | Contains six Play Boosters, a promo, deck box, and spindown die; the event guide covers building a 40-card Sealed deck. | It is tied to event play. The January 2026 prerelease dates have passed, so check locally for future events. |
| Prioritize premium card treatments | Collector Boosters | Contains foil and Booster Fun slots. The serialized Bitterbloom Bearer appears only in Lorwyn Eclipsed Collector Boosters. | That exclusivity describes where the card can appear, not a guarantee in any pack. Check the current price before buying. |
What each product includes
Commander decks
Each deck contains 100 cards: two traditional foil borderless commanders and 98 nonfoil cards, including 10 new-to-Magic cards. The package also includes 10 double-sided tokens or punch-out counters, a reference card, and a deck box. The decks are ready to play, but the official guide does not say that one is stronger than the other. Wizards’ Lorwyn Eclipsed collecting guide
Play Boosters, Draft Night, and prerelease packs
Play Boosters are the packs Wizards designates for Draft and Sealed. Their card contents vary, so buying packs is not a reliable way to obtain a particular card. Draft Night includes 12 Play Boosters, one Collector Booster, 90 nonfoil basic lands, 10 nonfoil double-sided tokens, and a draft insert. Wizards describes it as suited to Pick-Two Draft with friends.
A prerelease pack has six Play Boosters, one traditional foil promo, a deck box, and a spindown die. At a prerelease, players combine the contents with basic lands to build a 40-card Sealed deck. See the Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease Guide for the event format.

It suits someone who wants a mix of packs and physical accessories, not necessarily someone seeking the lowest cost per booster.

- CONTENTS—1 Collector Booster containing 15 MTG cards
Collector Boosters
A Collector Booster box contains 12 Collector Boosters. Each pack has 15 Magic cards and either an art card or a traditional foil double-sided token. The listed slots include foil commons and uncommons, a foil full-art basic land, rare or mythic cards, and Booster Fun cards. Wizards says the serialized Bitterbloom Bearer can appear in Collector Boosters of any language and is always in English; its placement in that product does not mean an individual pack contains it. Reversible shock lands can appear in both nonfoil and traditional foil in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters, but neither pack type guarantees one. See Wizards’ product and pack details

Make the final choice
- For a playable deck with minimal setup, choose a Commander deck or Theme Deck according to the format you play.
- For a draft night, choose Play Boosters for flexible pack buying or Draft Night for its included group-draft supplies; compare current costs rather than assuming the box is a bargain.
- For packs and useful extras in one package, choose the Bundle if its included accessories suit you.
- For premium treatments, choose Collector Boosters only if the contents and price make sense to you; no specific chase card is assured.
- For prerelease Sealed, find a local event and confirm the pack is part of that event’s offering.
