For the Vernworth masquerade in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the formal outfit is the Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches. You can reportedly loot both for free at Watchhead’s Home in Vernworth’s Noble Quarter: the tunic is in an item sack in the ground-floor dining room, and the breeches are in an upstairs bedroom.
Get both pieces free at Watchhead’s Home
- Go to Watchhead’s Home in Vernworth’s Noble Quarter.
- Search the ground-floor dining room and take the Courtly Tunic from the item sack.
- Go upstairs to the bedroom and take the Courtly Breeches from the item sack.
This route is reported by PC Gamer. Look for sacks, not chests.

Which items count as formal clothes?
The required clothing pieces are the Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches. The Eventide Mask is a separate item, not one of the clothes. The game-reference description for the outfit reads: “Formal raiment worn by palace attendants and visitors.” Fextralife’s Courtly Tunic reference transcribes that item text.

Should you buy the clothes?
Buying from Philbert’s Sundries is an option, but the 150,000-gold price reported by GameSpot is per piece, so purchasing both costs 300,000 in-game gold at that price. Since free loot locations and a quest reward are also reported, buying is not the only route. If you sold or lost one set, check the other listed locations before spending that much.
