On Windows, press Windows key + R, enter %localappdata%/FortniteGame/Saved/Logs, and press Enter. On Mac, quit Fortnite and open Library/Logs/FortniteGame. If you’re sending files to Epic Games Support, collect them soon after a crash and attach them directly to your support ticket without ZIP or RAR compression.
Find Fortnite logs on Windows PC
- Press Windows key + R to open the Run window.
- Enter
%localappdata%/FortniteGame/Saved/Logsand press Enter. - For an Epic support ticket, attach the files named
FortniteGame,FortniteLauncher, andFortniteGame-backup-[date].
Epic says Fortnite logs record app behavior and recommends collecting them immediately after a crash so relevant error messages are included. See Epic Games Support’s instructions for gathering Fortnite logs.
Find Fortnite logs on Mac
- Quit Fortnite.
- Navigate to
Library/Logs/FortniteGame. - Attach the relevant files to your Epic support-ticket reply.
Epic gives this relative directory and does not specify a fuller absolute path in its instructions.
Other diagnostic files Epic may request
Windows: DxDiag
- Run
dxdiag. - Select Save all information.
- Save
dxdiag.txtto your desktop to attach to the support ticket.
Windows: MSInfo
- Run
msinfo32. - Select File > Save.
- Save the system-information file to your desktop for the ticket.
Mac: System Information
Epic directs Mac users to Apple’s System Information User Guide and recommends taking a screenshot for the support ticket.

Attach the files to your support ticket
Attach the requested files directly to the relevant Epic support ticket. Epic says it cannot accept ZIP or RAR archives, so do not compress the files before sending them.
What if you play on console or mobile?
Epic’s cited directions provide local log paths for Windows PC and Mac, but do not give local log locations for console or mobile. If you need to report a problem from one of those platforms, use the relevant Epic support ticket rather than assuming the PC or Mac paths apply.
