Look for Kirk in the Cathedral of the Deep’s main hall cloister. Community guides describe the spot as near a lever between two Giant Slaves. The location descriptions refer to the same broad area, but the exact positioning comes from community-maintained guides rather than an official game manual. - You must be embered for Kirk to invade.
- Do not kill the Deacons of the Deep first; the character guide says Kirk will not invade afterward.
What does Longfinger Kirk drop?
- Barbed Straight Sword: Kirk’s weapon and a guaranteed drop.
- Spiked Shield: Kirk’s shield and a guaranteed drop.
- Set of Thorns: After defeating Kirk, find the armor set on a corpse in Rosaria’s Bed Chamber. It is also called the Armor of Thorns.

How to deal with Kirk
The character guide describes Kirk as an aggressive fighter who uses the Barbed Straight Sword’s Stance skill to pressure defenses. Its strategy advice is to bait and evade his attacks, then counter when there is an opening. Avoid lingering beside him after making contact: the thorns on his armor can inflict contact damage and drain poise. The guide also suggests throwable weapons as an option.
