MetaForge’s guide, last updated October 4, 2026, lists 64 known locations across those two maps, but community totals for the three molar types do not match that figure. Treat the numbers as guide-specific rather than a confirmed game-wide total, and check that your map view and game version match the marker you are following.
What each Milk Molar type upgrades
| Type | What it upgrades | Who benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Milk Molar | Player attributes: Max Health, Max Stamina, Hunger/Thirst Drain, Healing Rate, and Max Active Mutations. | Individual player |
| Mega Milk Molar | Perks including maximum consumable, resource, and arrow stack sizes. | Party-wide in multiplayer |
| Moldy Milk Molar | Has its own molar upgrade track; the available tiers were expanded in patch 0.5.1. | Upgrade effect details are not stated in the cited patch notes. |
Obsidian’s September 11, 2026 patch 0.5.1 notes say the update “Added Molar Upgrades for Mega Milk Molars, Milk Molars, and Moldy Milk Molars” and expanded the available tiers obtainable through Milk Molars and Moldy Milk Molars. Upgrade choices and maximums are therefore version-sensitive; older videos may not reflect current tiers.
Use a tracker that covers both maps
The current MetaForge guide separates its known markers into Brookhollow Park and The Abyss. Select the matching map before following a marker: coordinates and landmarks from one view will not necessarily lead to the same place in the other. MetaForge’s Grounded 2 map is an interactive option for checking locations and tracking collected markers.
The counts are not a single settled total. MetaForge’s guide was last updated October 4, 2026 and lists 64 known locations across two maps. A community-maintained Grounded Wiki listing gives 63 Milk Molars, 29 Mega Milk Molars, and 60 Moldy Milk Molars, but those category totals do not align directly with MetaForge’s figure. Use each source’s map and type labels rather than adding or comparing the numbers as though they describe the same inventory.

Brookhollow Park locations to check
These landmarks are useful starting points from current map listings and route guides. Confirm the marker on the Brookhollow Park view and check any access requirement shown for it; the examples below are not a complete location inventory.
- Snackbar Anthill: Look in the central tunnel cavern for a normal Molar. Another map entry places one inside a giant cup.
- Ant Cave: Follow the tunnel to its end for a normal Molar.
- Large tree: A normal Molar is on a mushroom cap or shelf. A route guide recommends climbing the small mushrooms on the northwest side.
- Cracked-rock tunnel: A normal Molar behind a cracked rock requires explosives, according to Gamer Guides.
- Garbage Can: Check inside a cup on the north side, near discarded food and plates.
- Ice Cream Cart: Look behind the popsicles in the main area for a Molar.
- Picnic area: Gamer Guides lists one Molar inside a jar in the cool box and another inside a mint packet in the briefcase. Its database gives the briefcase code as 137 514; because that code is not confirmed here against the current build, verify it in-game if it does not work.
- KLBB II News Camera: A Mega Milk Molar is on a rocky ledge underneath the camera. The route descriptions differ: one recommends dropping down from above; another describes a ledge in a ditch and says a ladder or launch pad may be needed.
- Wrench and bin: Gamer Guides places a Mega Milk Molar at the handle of a wrench beneath a power outlet, and another on top of the bin behind trash.
- Toxic Anthill: A route listing notes a Molar in the red cavern near clay deposits.
- North of the Pine Hill Ranger Outpost: Two normal Molars are listed close together in a spider-infested area. The route can involve an O.R.C. encounter during Signals and Stashes.
Check The Abyss separately
The Abyss is a distinct map area, not an extension of an older Brookhollow-only route list. Xbox Wire’s August 11, 2026 Into the Abyss coverage describes new underwater locations, the pond, and The Abyss. Open The Abyss map view in the tracker and follow its markers there; do not assume an older area-by-area video includes these locations.

A creator video titled “ALL 68 Milk Molars!” was published February 5, 2026 and indexes areas including Snackbar, Entrance, Ceremony, Croquet Court, Picnic Table, Pine Hill, Ice Cream Cart, Fire Pit, Statue, Greenhouse, Veggie Garden, and Pumpkin Patch. It predates Into the Abyss, so its timestamps can help with legacy Brookhollow route ideas but cannot establish the current two-map inventory.
What to do when a Molar marker seems missing
- Confirm the selected map. Switch between Brookhollow Park and The Abyss before searching for a marker.
- Check the molar type. Normal, Mega, and Moldy entries use different upgrade tracks; make sure the tracker marker matches the collectible you need.
- Look for an access gate. Community lists note requirements such as a Red Soldier Ant Buggy or explosives for some entries. Follow the prerequisite attached to the specific marker instead of assuming every route is immediately accessible.
- Check the route’s vertical approach. A marker described as under a camera, on a ledge, or on a mushroom shelf may require climbing, dropping from above, or building a route with a ladder or launch pad.
- Account for version and guide date. Patch 0.5.1 arrived September 11, 2026 and expanded molar upgrades; older videos may omit newer areas or reflect earlier progression. MetaForge’s two-map list carries an October 4, 2026 update date.
- Compare the in-game landmark, not only coordinates. If a guide’s number or route does not match what you see, check that the marker belongs to the current map view and game build before treating it as an undiscovered location.
Sources and scope
Obsidian’s patch notes establish the recent upgrade changes and platform release context; Xbox Wire describes Into the Abyss; MetaForge provides a dated two-map tracker; and Gamer Guides, PC Gamer, and the community wiki offer route descriptions, requirements, and additional entries. Their totals and coverage differ, so this guide presents the 64-location figure only as MetaForge’s dated count and does not claim an official final total.
