How to get Lucy early on Paradise Island
- From the Paradise Island landing pad, head south along the coast toward Crabble Farm.
- Find Lucy and heal her with a medical check or trauma kit.
- Interact with her after healing to recruit her.
Lucy is a recruit rather than a vendor purchase, so the guide does not give a bit cost.
Edition-related pets
PC Gamer also mentions a Premium Edition Sprat and an ED Drone associated with Commander Zane’s Battle Pack. The guide specifically described the ED Drone detail as uncertain when it was published, so treat both edition-linked availability and included content as time-sensitive and check the current edition description before relying on it.

How to switch your active pet
Go to the pet barrel aboard The Incognito, in the room next to the medical suite, and interact with it to pet or swap pets, according to PC Gamer’s guide.
In an October 2025 Game Informer interview, game director Brandon Adler explained that pets may come from requests, the wild, or vendors, and that only one can be active aboard the ship at a time. Adler said: “You can get a whole bunch of them, but can only have one active at a time, and you choose which active pet you want in your ship and they stay on your ship.” The interview also reports that pets cannot die and do not accompany the player around Paradise Island.

Is this every pet in the game?
No exhaustive total is established by these sources. PC Gamer’s guide lists pets its author found, while the broader all-pets guide result available during research could not be opened. Use the table as a set of documented locations, not a complete checklist or a definitive count.
PC Gamer also characterizes pet collecting as optional and says pets provide no particular bonus; that is the guide’s description, not a developer statement.
