Where to find Pure Quartz
Pure Quartz occurs in icy regions, particularly the Astral Mountains, a northern snowy area. For a concentrated manual run, use the named Astral Mountains locations below as route anchors. If you are not ready for the cold, the Mossanda Forest location around (211, -133) is described as a safer early-progression alternative.

The coordinates and density descriptions come from the Palworld Game Wiki’s 2026 farming guide. They help identify where to go, but they are not a measured ranking of quartz gathered per minute. Travel time, combat or survival overhead, and your mining method all affect the haul.

Astral Mountains loop
- Travel to Unthawable Lake (-199, 249) and mine its reported nine-node cluster.
- Continue to Research Unit Tower (-134, 575), which the guide identifies as high density.
- Use Pristine Snow Field (-420, 461) as an optional third stop. It is described as comparatively low activity, so prioritize the other clusters if your goal is to focus on denser deposits.
Prepare cold-resistant armor before entering the region. The route is most useful when you can reach and work the deposits without the cold turning the trip into a survival problem.
Earlier progression: Mossanda Forest
If you are not yet equipped for the Astral Mountains, use the Mossanda Forest spot around (211, -133) as a progression bridge. The guide identifies it as a safer early-game alternative, but does not give a node count or a controlled comparison with the northern clusters. Move to the Astral Mountains when your cold protection and travel capability are ready.

How to mine Pure Quartz efficiently
Pure Quartz is listed as a Mining Level 3 resource. The Palworld Wiki’s 2026 mining reference gives a yield of 38 units per node and supports direct tool attacks, Pal attacks, and assigning Mining-suitable Pals. Treat the yield as the reference’s stated per-node figure, not as a guarantee of how much you will collect in a timed run.
- Work clusters, not scattered deposits. The mining reference describes groups of 5–10 deposits as efficient for bulk gathering. A dense cluster reduces the need to keep searching for the next node.
- Bring an appropriate miner. Use a Mining Level 3 Pal or suitable mining tools so you can work the resource directly.
- Consider area attacks for clustered nodes. The reference highlights Mammorest’s Earth Impact for its area-of-effect utility against clustered deposits. This is a mechanics recommendation, not a tested time comparison.
- For manual mining, consider a Mammorest Saddle and rotating Mammorest Pals. The same reference presents this as a way to speed manual mining; it does not establish an exact time saved.
“Fastest” depends on what is costing you time. Dense deposits can improve the amount collected per stop, while cold protection and travel readiness reduce the overhead of reaching the northern route. Manual mining gives you an immediate haul; a quarry can produce quartz over time once unlocked and staffed. The cited guides do not provide a standardized timed benchmark for comparing these approaches.

Automate production with the Pure Quartz Quarry
The Pure Quartz Quarry is the long-term option if you want production at a base rather than relying only on trips to deposits. It unlocks at technology tier 52 after defeating the Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower. Building it costs 70 Stone, 100 Pure Quartz, 30 Paldium Fragments, and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts. Mining-suitable Pals must staff it for quartz production.

Bootstrap the quarry before expecting automated output
- Gather at least 100 Pure Quartz manually from deposits, such as an Astral Mountains cluster, to cover the quarry’s quartz construction cost.
- Meet the tier 52 unlock and defeat the Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower.
- Build the quarry within a Palbox base area and assign Mining-suitable Pals.
- Keep a chest or other storage container close to the quarry so Transporting Pals have less distance to move materials.
The need for an initial 100 Pure Quartz means the quarry does not eliminate the first manual gathering trip. It changes the longer-term plan: establish the base production after you have obtained the materials and unlock, then staff it with suitable miners.

Choose a route by progression stage
- Not ready for northern cold: start at Mossanda Forest around (211, -133), the safer early-game location named in the farming guide.
- Ready for a bulk manual trip: prepare cold-resistant armor and target Astral Mountains clusters, starting with the nine-node Unthawable Lake site.
- Already building a resource base: gather the initial 100 Pure Quartz, unlock and build the quarry, then staff it and keep storage close.
These options serve different stages rather than forming a precise speed leaderboard. A location guide supplies node-density descriptions, and the mining reference supplies methods and a per-node yield, but neither cited source reports standardized minutes-per-run results. Use the route that minimizes your actual bottleneck: access and cold exposure early on, deposit density for a manual haul, or ongoing transport and staffing at a quarry.
