Rocken Roller is the boss at the end of Trinket Crevass, an Abandoned Auger Mine in the Ruined Sumplands area of Carcadia Burn. You reach the mine by heading north from the Moxxi’s Bottoms Up fast-travel point, then following a cliff down into the mine. The boss waits in an arena past the mine’s vending-machine area.
Before you start: unlock the Abandoned Auger Mines
Complete the Shadow of the Mountain main mission first. Walkthroughs describe the Abandoned Auger Mines as opening after this mission, even though some mine entrances may be visible earlier in the game. If you head for Trinket Crevass before finishing the mission, expect to be turned back or to find the route incomplete.

Where Trinket Crevass is
Trinket Crevass sits in Carcadia Burn. Walkthroughs place it in the Ruined Sumplands area, though some guides call the same area the Ruined Swamplands. Use the mine name and Carcadia Burn as your reference points, since the local area name and the landmarks used to describe the approach vary between guides.
One walkthrough places the mine west of Carcadia Burn near Zadra’s safehouse. That description and the route below are not contradictory in practice, because both put you in the same general part of the map, but the north-from-Moxxi’s-Bottoms-Up route is the one with the most detail.

Route from Moxxi’s Bottoms Up to the boss
- Fast travel to the Moxxi’s Bottoms Up fast-travel point.
- Travel north, passing the Society for Amateur Seismology Enthusiasts location.
- Continue north and slightly east until you reach a cliff with a path down to the mine.
- Inside the mine, clear the Pangolin enemies and work through the platforming sections. The route is mostly linear.
- Pass the waterfall room and locate the foliage-covered wall gap.
- Cross the shallow pool and platforms, then climb the vines.
- Reach the orange-lit room with the vending machines.
- Drop or slide down into Rocken Roller’s arena.
Fighting Rocken Roller
Rocken Roller curls into a ball and charges at you. Walkthroughs suggest double-jumping backward to get out of the way of the charge. These are recommendations from guide writers, not official developer instructions, so test them against how the boss behaves in your run.
Guides classify Rocken Roller as a Vile variant. The method they describe:
- Destroy the crystals to expose the boss’s health bar.
- Shoot the orbs that appear when a crystal breaks.
- Finish off any Vile Ordonite shields. Walkthroughs warn that shields can reattach if they are not destroyed.
Loot
Three legendary rewards appear in Rocken Roller’s loot pool according to walkthroughs and a third-party loot database (Lootlemon, page updated October 1, 2025). The database’s percentages are not official drop-rate figures, so treat them as estimates and check the page again before quoting exact numbers.

Is Rocken Roller a weekly boss right now?
Rocken Roller has appeared as a Big Encore boss in Borderlands weekly rotations. An official Borderlands weekly activities post dated August 6, 2026 listed it among that week’s Big Encore Bosses, and said weekly rotations would be refreshed through game servers from that date onward. That listing is a past rotation. It does not tell you who is featured this week.
