Verify that you are using the current game data
Old walkthroughs often preserve the place where Sylvanas appeared during an earlier expansion or during a raid. Windrunner Spire is another frequent source of mistaken directions. Blizzard describes it as the Windrunner family’s home in Eversong Woods. The dungeon at the site involves Kalis and Latch, fanatical followers of Sylvanas who are seeking relics.
That description establishes the family’s connection to the place and the presence of Sylvanas’s followers. It does not say that Sylvanas herself is currently standing at the Spire. If a quest or zone guide sends you to Windrunner Spire, you are dealing with the family’s history or a follower-focused dungeon setting, not a confirmed replacement for the current The Maw listing.
