The quest comes from Eshe; Hassian’s clue is optional.
Start the Not-So-Good Boy quest
Speak with Eshe to receive this friendship quest. The quest record lists friendship level 1 as its requirement. Eshe asks you to find the newspapers Tau has been taking. She explains: “I have searched all of Kilima with no luck, so he must be hiding them somewhere in Bahari Bay.” Palia Wiki quest record
Follow Tau’s pawprints to the stash
- Travel to Bahari Bay and enter from the side nearest Hideaway Bluffs.
- Look for muddy pawprints and follow them into the grassy area on the right. The quest walkthrough describes four to five prints before the trail ends. Palia Wiki walkthrough; Palia Pal walkthrough
- At the last prints, climb the cliff immediately to the right, above the large tree stump.
- Dig the dirt pile at the top to collect the Semi-Chewed Newspaper, the quest item hidden in Tau’s stash. Palia Wiki item record
Return the newspaper to Eshe
Take the Semi-Chewed Newspaper back to Eshe and speak with her to complete the quest. Hassian can provide a clue about tracking Tau in Bahari Bay, but talking to him is not required to locate or retrieve the item. Palia Wiki quest record
Quest rewards
The Palia Wiki quest record lists 300 Gold and 15 Renown, along with improved relationship with Tau. It also notes that players may receive an additional 5 Renown; that extra amount is not guaranteed by the record. Palia Wiki quest record
