First get its authorization from the PECO terminal at Norfolk Grave; Navigation Beacon 15 reveals the vault on your map. Inside, unlock the Seed Chamber, take a Human Seed, place it in a Lazarus pod, and deliver the pod to the Hall of Humanity at Lazarus Complex.
How to reach Seed Vault Prometheus
- Get the vault authorization at Norfolk Grave. Use the PECO terminal and acquire “Seed Vault Prometheus Authorization.”
- Reveal the vault on your map. Navigation Beacon 15 is listed as the beacon that reveals its location. Use the in-game marker to navigate when it is available.
- Travel north of Lazarus Complex. A community map guide places the vault about 6.4 km north-northeast of Lazarus Complex, around map-grid coordinates 82, -65. A separate location reference lists X 8,202 m, Y -6,493 m, and height 8 m. These are community reference coordinates, so treat the in-game marker as the practical guide. The quest and location references identify version 0.8.5, build 25191271, dated 2026-09-15; the map guide says its coordinates were reviewed 2026-10-05. The Seed Vaults community wiki describes the entrance as being at the surface, with a breaker in a utility shack behind the vault. It says the human-seed area is deep underwater, reached by an elevator near the main entrance or by ladders to its right. These are community-maintained navigation details, and the layout may differ in another game version. Seed Vaults community wiki
Return the seed to Lazarus Complex
Put the Human Seed in a Lazarus pod and carry the pod back to the Hall of Humanity in Lazarus Complex. Delivering it there completes the quest’s final task. Quest walkthrough Quest listing

What happens to a Human Seed
A community wiki says Human Seeds can also be found in Seed Reserves around the world. It describes placing a seed in a Lazarus Pod and inserting the pod into a Lazarus Rack to begin growing a human. The same wiki reports a two-hour timer; according to that page, the timer stops when the pod is in a functional Lazarus Rack connected to power and fresh water. Treat these item and growing details as community-wiki information, not developer-confirmed documentation. Human Seeds community wiki
