Inspect the note in your inventory to find the location of the Academy Glintstone Key, then retrieve it near Glintstone Dragon Smarag west of the academy. You do not have to defeat the dragon.
Where to find the Meeting Place Map
Go to South Raya Lucaria Gate, the sealed entrance to Raya Lucaria Academy in Liurnia of the Lakes. Loot the corpse beside the entrance to obtain the Meeting Place Map.
This is an inventory note, not a map fragment: it will not reveal or expand part of the world map. Open your inventory’s notes section and inspect the Meeting Place Map to view its clue. The item description reproduced by Gamer Guides reads: “Simple map found on a corpse. Seems to point to a meeting place. The man it came from surely desired one. The sole means of gaining entry into the academy: a glintstone key.”
How to get the Academy Glintstone Key
- From South Raya Lucaria Gate, head west across the shallow lake. Use Temple Quarter as a landmark; the key is near the rocky area and Glintstone Dragon Smarag. The route is described in the Game8 Raya Lucaria Academy walkthrough.
- Look for a corpse near the dragon and loot it to obtain the Academy Glintstone Key. The key’s location is also listed in Eldenpedia’s Academy Glintstone Key entry.
- Return to South Raya Lucaria Gate and use the key at the seal to enter Raya Lucaria Academy.
Do you have to fight Glintstone Dragon Smarag?
No. Smarag is near the key, but defeating it is not required to collect the item. If you are not prepared for the fight, approach carefully, sneak around the dragon or make a quick run to the corpse, loot the key, and leave. Fighting Smarag is a separate choice, not a requirement for opening the academy.
