A Game8 guide last updated May 23, 2025 says it can spawn across regions, may appear as early as Dayton Wetlands, and becomes more common in Broken Delta. Those are dated claims, though. An official Version 2.2.3 update announcement dated December 10, 2025 says some occasional Tin Ore nodes were removed, so the most reliable approach is to check a map for the scenario you are playing rather than relying on any single region or coordinate.
What Tin Ore nodes look like and what you need to mine them
- Appearance: Tin Ore is a grey-metal ore node placed in the overworld. Look for grey-metal deposits rather than other ore colours when you scan a area.
- Minimum tool: The Game8 guide specifies at least a Copper Pickaxe for mining it.
- Scenario dependence: Node placement is tied to each scenario map, so the same ore may not be present in every scenario or on every server.
Where to look for Tin Ore
Regional advice is the part of older guidance that has aged most. The points below come from the May 2025 Game8 guide and should be treated as starting places, not confirmed current spawn locations.
Broken Delta
Game8 recommends Broken Delta as the region where Tin Ore becomes more common. If you are looking for a steady supply rather than a first find, this is the region the guide points to first. Because the guide is dated May 2025 and Game8 has since ended its Once Human coverage (as noted on the page itself, which references December 2025), confirm current node availability on a live map before planning a route around it.
Dayton Wetlands
The same guide says Tin Ore may be found as early as Dayton Wetlands. That makes it a plausible early-game location, but it is an “may appear” claim rather than a guaranteed spawn. A community wiki result describes Tin Ore as first appearing in Broken Delta and not in Dayton Wetlands. Older sources therefore disagree on how widely the ore is distributed, and those differences likely reflect different game versions or scenarios.

Checking the current scenario map
Because node placement varies by scenario and the December 2025 update changed Tin Ore nodes, use a current map before you travel.
- Open The Hidden Gaming Lair’s “Once Human Interactive Maps & Locations” page. It offers multiple scenario maps and shows an update dated October 8, 2026.
- Choose the map that matches the scenario you are playing, not a generic overworld map.
- Select the Tin Ore markers on that map to see the listed locations.
- When you arrive, visually check for grey-metal ore nodes. A marker is a navigation aid; the node in front of you is the confirmation.
- If the marker is empty, move to the next listed location on the same scenario map and note whether the area has been affected by a later update.
The same site’s guide index, crawled October 8, 2026, lists 16 Tin Ore locations. That number is the site’s own count. It is not an official game statistic, and it does not confirm that every marker is live in every scenario or on every server.

What the December 2025 update changed
The official Version 2.2.3 update announcement, dated December 10, 2025, includes this sentence in its node-adjustment section: “Removed Tin Ore nodes that would occasionally appear on the map.” The same announcement also describes regional ore reallocation for RaidZone. That passage does not establish how other scenarios were changed, so do not assume the RaidZone changes apply to the scenario you are playing.
