You receive it by completing the Bodhi Sea campaign chapter and defeating its boss. If you already have Yin, the missing Yang half is tied to the Palace of Annals campaign questline.

- Progress through the Bodhi Sea campaign chapter.
- Defeat the chapter’s boss. The walkthroughs identify this as the reward point for Buddha’s Light Jade: Yin.

Where to get the Yang half
Buddha’s Light Jade: Yang is associated with the Palace of Annals campaign questline. Complete that line if you have Yin but still need the second half. The two halves are separate quest rewards, not alternative versions of one item.

Where and when to use both halves
Use Yin and Yang together at the Buddha’s Light Pagoda on Halo Peak to begin the Jianghu Legacy quest The Promised Light. AllThings.How reports that the quest also calls for 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points, speaking with the Wayfarer at Sundara Land, and campaign progress that activates Halo Peak. Its guide says to place the jade during Wu Hour, which it gives as 11:00–1:00; treat that window and the other listed requirements as guide-reported conditions rather than official documentation.
GameTrek’s walkthrough also identifies The Promised Light as a Jianghu Legacy quest at Halo Peak and describes the larger dungeon sequence. The route continues through traversal, light-and-mirror puzzles and enemy encounters, then culminates in a fight with Tian Ying.
