Free the carousel from the ice holding it in place, then speak with the nearby Grandis to receive the haircut.
How to unlock Maelle’s French Bob
- Travel to The Carousel.
- Clear away the ice that keeps the carousel from moving.
- Talk to the Grandis nearby to claim Maelle’s French Bob.
Game8’s bob-cut list names the reward as Maelle’s French Bob and gives the location as “Help the Grandis in The Carousel.” Neoseeker spells out the sequence: the ice has to be removed so the Carousel moves before the Grandis can be spoken to. Gamer Guides describes the same reward, given by the Grandis after the ice holding the Carousel is smashed. All three agree on the route.
What the guides do and do not establish
- The unlock is environmental. The guides reviewed do not describe it as a shop purchase or as a reward for defeating a Mime.
- No level, party composition, or story-act requirement is stated in these guides. If you cannot reach The Carousel, the guides do not explain what gates access, so check your progress against the area before assuming a fault.
- None of the sources is an official developer publication. The route is consistent across independent guides, but it has not been confirmed by the developer.
Before you start
You need a copy of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with access to The Carousel. The hairstyle is an in-game cosmetic, so no real-world item, accessory, or purchase is involved.
If you are following this route and the Grandis does not offer the haircut after the ice is cleared, the guides reviewed do not cover that case. Reloading a recent save and confirming the carousel is actually free to move is the most practical first check.
