Why max level does not necessarily mean the technology tree is complete
Palworld’s official v1.0 release changelog says the player level cap rose from 65 to 80 and that many new technologies related to the ancient civilization were added. It also notes that technology unlock levels were reviewed. The changelog does not give a complete point budget or say that reaching level 80 unlocks every technology.
So if you have hit the cap with technologies still locked, that is not necessarily a bug: level progression and completing the technology tree are not the same thing. The official update establishes that more technologies were added, but it does not explain a definitive post-cap route for earning regular Technology Points.
Where to look for more Technology Points
Community players have mentioned dungeon and Wildlife Sanctuary chests as possible sources of Technology Point manuals. Those reports are anecdotal and predate the current release context, so check the items you actually receive in your version rather than assuming any particular chest is a dependable farm.

These are leads to investigate, not confirmed methods with known repeatability, point values, or rates. Check the item name and reward in your current game before spending time repeating a route.
Do not assume Oil Rigs are a Technology Point farm
The v1.0 changelog says Oil Rig treasure chest rewards were improved and additional obtainable items were added. It does not say those chests contain regular Technology Point manuals. Improved loot alone is not evidence that an Oil Rig is a Technology Point source.
Regular Technology Points and Ancient Technology Points are different
Pay attention to which kind of points a locked technology requires. Regular Technology Points and Ancient Technology Points are separate categories; a community post that discusses both does not establish that they share sources. Confirm the requirement shown for the technology you want, and do not assume a lead for one point type will supply the other.

Older posts often frame the question around reaching level 50. That is not the current cap established by the official v1.0 changelog: it was raised from 65 to 80. The same update rebalanced dungeon and chest rewards, so older recommendations about where to farm should be treated as version-dependent rather than current guarantees.
When evaluating a route, check whether it has been confirmed in your current game version, whether it yields regular or Ancient Technology Points, and whether the reward can be repeated. The available official changelog does not provide dependable time-per-run, risk, drop-rate, or point-value comparisons for post-cap methods.
