All Things How says Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar sell it for 348 Copper with no quest or trust requirement. A separate Gfinity guide describes a buried pickup in Urdavah, above Forebearer’s Barrens, reached with the Visione helmet and a lantern. No Pearl Abyss official page found for the item reconciles these methods, so treat them as potentially separate valid ways to obtain the same sword rather than assuming one is the only route.
Quick answer: check the named weapon vendors first
If you want the shortest reported path, visit Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar and check their weapon inventory. All Things How reports the Alabaster Curved Sword at 348 Copper and says that this purchase does not require a quest or a particular trust level. The guide also names Pryce and the Varnian Guard Head Commander as additional sources, but it does not explain whether they sell the sword, award it through an activity, or provide it under another condition.

Because vendor stock can depend on a game version, progression state, or an update that the guides do not document, check all three named vendors rather than concluding that the weapon is unavailable after one visit. If none of them lists it, use the Urdavah pickup route below. That second route is described by Gfinity and has different requirements.
Route 1: buy the sword for 348 Copper
Vendors named by the guide
| Vendor | Reported method | Reported cost or requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Gurbit | Shop purchase | 348 Copper; no quest or trust level reported |
| Tranan | Shop purchase | 348 Copper; no quest or trust level reported |
| Omar | Shop purchase | 348 Copper; no quest or trust level reported |
| Pryce | Listed as an additional source, exact method not stated | Not stated |
| Varnian Guard Head Commander | Listed as an additional source, exact method not stated | Not stated |
The 348-Copper figure comes from All Things How’s vendor guide, updated April 7, 2026. It is a reported shop price, not a price independently confirmed by an official item database or patch note. The same guide does not state that the price changes by region, edition, or difficulty.

How to check the vendors efficiently
- Keep at least 348 Copper available before opening a weapon shop.
- Speak with Gurbit and open the weapon or equipment purchase screen.
- Look for the item name “Alabaster Curved Sword,” not merely a similarly named curved weapon.
- If it is absent, check Tranan and then Omar. The guide names all three as possible sellers.
- If one of the additional sources, Pryce or the Varnian Guard Head Commander, is convenient to visit, inspect their available interaction or inventory as well; the guide does not identify the exact acquisition action.
- After buying, check the weapon’s refinement level and Attack value before spending materials. The reported vendor copy is level 0, but the game’s presentation may vary by copy or update.
The vendor route is the only one in the guides with a stated currency cost and an explicit statement that no quest or trust level is needed. It is therefore the clearest first check, but not an officially guaranteed universal solution.
What to do if a vendor has no stock
Do not spend time raising trust or completing an unlisted quest solely because the item is missing. The vendor guide specifically says no such requirement applies to Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar. Instead, inspect the other two named sellers, confirm that you are viewing the weapon tab, and consider whether your game has received an update or uses a different progression state from the guide. If all three remain empty, the Urdavah route gives you a separate way to pursue the weapon without relying on shop stock.
Route 2: retrieve the buried pickup in Urdavah
Gfinity describes a second copy in Urdavah, above Forebearer’s Barrens. This is not presented as a normal chest on the ground. The route uses a Visione helmet to inspect a revealed memory and a lantern to expose two dig points. According to that guide, one spot contains the Alabaster Curved Sword and the other contains a Modest Silver Pouch.

- Access to the Urdavah area above Forebearer’s Barrens.
- The Visione helmet, unlocked and equipped for the memory-viewing step.
- A lantern for revealing the memory and locating the glowing dig spots.
- A way to cross the quicksand by hopping across rocks to the central platform.
- A shovel or the game’s normal dig interaction, if your control setup requires a separate input.
The guide refers to a map-pin image rather than a textual coordinate. Do not rely on an invented coordinate; use Forebearer’s Barrens and the Urdavah landmark as the navigation reference.
Step-by-step pickup sequence
- Travel to Urdavah. Start from the area above Forebearer’s Barrens and use the local map to approach the marked location shown in the guide’s map image.
- Equip Visione. The helmet must be available for the part of the sequence that requires viewing a memory. Equipping it before crossing the hazard avoids reaching the platform without the required tool.
- Cross the quicksand. Hop from rock to rock toward the central platform. The described path is a series of short jumps rather than a direct walk across the sand.
- Use the lantern on the platform. The lantern reveals a memory at the location. The guide treats this as a required discovery step, not an optional visual effect.
- View the memory through Visione. With the helmet equipped, inspect the revealed memory. Complete this viewing step before searching for the buried items.
- Use the lantern again to search the ground. The guide reports two glowing spots after the memory sequence. Move around the platform and use the lantern to make both locations visible.
- Dig at each glowing spot. One dig point reportedly gives the Alabaster Curved Sword; the other gives a Modest Silver Pouch. Open the loot result at each location so you can identify which reward you received.
- Inspect the weapon details. Gfinity reports this buried copy at refinement level 2 with 16 Attack and three Abyss Gear slots. Record what your own item screen shows before refining or combining it.
These directions describe the order reported by Gfinity, published and last verified April 16, 2026. They are not a firsthand route confirmation, and the guides do not explain whether collecting the buried copy changes vendor availability or whether both copies can be held simultaneously.
Common mistakes at the Urdavah site
- Trying to walk across the quicksand: the reported approach uses the rock chain and short hops to the central platform.
- Searching before activating the lantern: the memory discovery comes first; the glowing dig locations are described after that sequence.
- Leaving Visione unequipped: the memory-viewing step specifically calls for the helmet.
- Digging once and leaving: there are two reported spots, and the sword may be at the one that does not produce the Modest Silver Pouch.
- Expecting a coordinate: the guide supplies a map image, not a written latitude-style location, so Forebearer’s Barrens and Urdavah are the reliable textual landmarks.
Vendor purchase or buried pickup?
The two routes differ in cost, preparation, and the item state reported by their respective guides. No tested comparison establishes which one is faster, safer, or more profitable. Use the table to choose based on what your save already supports.
| Factor | Vendor route | Urdavah buried pickup |
|---|---|---|
| Evidence source | All Things How, updated April 7, 2026 | Gfinity, published and last verified April 16, 2026 |
| Location | Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar; Pryce and the Varnian Guard Head Commander are also listed without a method | Urdavah, above Forebearer’s Barrens |
| Direct cost | 348 Copper reported by the vendor guide | No currency cost stated; requires travel and the puzzle sequence |
| Quest or trust requirement | None reported for Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar | Not stated |
| Equipment requirement | None reported | Visione helmet and lantern |
| Traversal requirement | None stated beyond reaching the seller | Hop across quicksand rocks to a central platform |
| Reported item state | Level 0; 12 Attack in the vendor/refinement and database guides | Level 2; 16 Attack and three Abyss Gear slots in Gfinity’s guide |
| Certainty | Reported by a guide; not confirmed by an official Pearl Abyss page | Reported by a separate guide; not reconciled with the vendor route officially |
If you already have the Visione helmet and are near Urdavah, the buried route avoids spending the reported 348 Copper. If you need the sword immediately and a named vendor has it in stock, buying is more direct. Those are practical decision rules based on the reported prerequisites, not a measured efficiency ranking.

Can you use both routes?
The guides do not say whether the sword is a unique item, whether the buried copy disappears after a purchase, or whether duplicate copies can be kept. They also do not state that buying one copy unlocks or blocks the other. If you obtain one version, inspect your inventory and then check the second route only if you need another copy; do not assume duplicate ownership or route exclusivity without an in-game confirmation.
Alabaster Curved Sword stats and refinement levels
| Refinement level | Reported Attack | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| +0 | 12 | All Things How and Gamer Guides; the ordinary level-0 listing |
| +1 | 14 | All Things How’s refinement guide |
| +2 | 16 | Gfinity’s reported Urdavah pickup |
| +10 | 34 | All Things How and Gamer Guides |
The level-0 value of 12 Attack is the consistent figure in the vendor/refinement guide and Gamer Guides database. Gfinity’s buried pickup is described as level 2 with 16 Attack, which fits the progression shown by those level-0 and level-1 values. Gamer Guides also displays level-specific price and Attack entries, but its price column should not be read as the amount a vendor charges at every refinement level; the only explicit shop cost reported here is 348 Copper for the purchase route.

Why one database shows Attack 2
CrimsonDB displays Attack 2 without clarifying the level or calculation basis. That conflicts with the 12 Attack level-0 entries from the other databases and the vendor/refinement guide. Until the database explains whether “2” refers to an internal value, an unrefined component, or a different display field, use 12 as the reported base Attack and treat the 2 as an unresolved database discrepancy.
Item description
All Things How reproduces the in-game description as: “A sword named after the bridge leading to Varnia. The Alabaster Bridge is the only road linking Varnia to Pywel, making it the symbol of Varnia’s trade.” This is item text quoted by the guide, not a statement attributed to a named developer or official announcement.
How refinement is reported to work
All Things How describes refinement from +0 through +10. Its guide presents two ways to advance a weapon: spend the listed refinement materials, or combine two copies at the same tier to create the next tier. For example, two copies at one tier are described as producing one copy at the following tier. The exact material requirements are not reproduced here because the guide’s higher-level table uses vague “additional material” entries that are not precise enough to treat as a complete shopping list.
Safe refinement procedure
- Open the weapon’s refinement screen and confirm that the selected item is the Alabaster Curved Sword.
- Write down its current tier and Attack value before committing resources.
- Check whether the game is offering material refinement or a combine-two-copies option.
- Read every required component on the current screen. Do not substitute the guide’s unspecified “additional material” wording for the live in-game requirement.
- Confirm the result preview before accepting the refinement.
- After the upgrade, verify the new tier, Attack value, and any Abyss Gear slot information.
The reported endpoints are +0/12 Attack and +10/34 Attack. Intermediate values beyond +1/14 and the separately reported +2/16 pickup should be checked against the current game screen rather than inferred from a linear formula.
Preparation checklist before setting out
- Carry at least 348 Copper if you intend to test the vendor route.
- Have the Visione helmet unlocked and ready to equip before attempting Urdavah.
- Bring or confirm access to the lantern, since it is used both for the memory and for exposing the dig spots.
- Leave enough inventory space for a weapon and the Modest Silver Pouch.
- Record the item’s refinement tier, Attack value, and Abyss Gear slots immediately after pickup or purchase.
- Do not spend refinement materials until you have verified which copy you received.
Troubleshooting the vendor route
The sword is not in the shop
- Check Gurbit, Tranan, and Omar individually; the guide names all three as possible sellers.
- Verify that you are looking in the weapon inventory rather than a general goods tab.
- Confirm you have enough Copper for the reported 348-Copper price.
- Check Pryce and the Varnian Guard Head Commander if they are available in your progression, while remembering that the guide does not state their exact method.
- If every source is absent, do not assume a quest or trust requirement based on guesswork. The vendor guide explicitly says none is required for its three named sellers, and availability may differ by version or save state.
Troubleshooting the Urdavah route
You cannot reach the platform
The reported route crosses quicksand by hopping across rocks. If the character sinks or the jump falls short, return to the edge and use the visible rock chain toward the central platform rather than attempting a straight crossing. The guide does not provide a coordinate or alternate route.
The memory does not appear
Use the lantern on the central platform first, then view the revealed memory through the equipped Visione helmet. The order matters in the published directions: lantern discovery precedes Visione inspection.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The glowing dig points are missing
Repeat the memory-viewing step, then activate the lantern while searching around the platform. Gfinity describes two glowing spots, so inspect the full platform rather than stopping after finding one.
The loot is not the sword
There are two reported dig rewards: the Alabaster Curved Sword and a Modest Silver Pouch. Dig at the second glowing spot if the first gives the pouch. If neither reward appears, compare your sequence with the listed order and check that Visione was equipped for the memory step.
What is confirmed, and what remains uncertain
The practical facts supported by the guides are straightforward: Gurbit, Tranan, and Omar are reported sellers at 348 Copper with no quest or trust requirement; a separate guide places a buried copy in Urdavah above Forebearer’s Barrens; and the reported Attack values are 12 at level 0, 14 at +1, 16 for the level-2 pickup, and 34 at +10.

What is not established is whether the two routes always coexist, whether one route unlocks the other, whether the buried copy is guaranteed in every version, and how Pryce or the Varnian Guard Head Commander provide the item. No official Pearl Abyss source located for this item confirms or reconciles those details. Treat version-specific behavior as possible, record the item level shown in your own game, and avoid using the conflicting Attack 2 database display as the sword’s base stat.

Where is the Alabaster Curved Sword in Crimson Desert?
The reported locations are either a purchase from Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar for 348 Copper, or a buried pickup in Urdavah above Forebearer’s Barrens. The Urdavah route uses Visione, a lantern, quicksand rock hops, and two dig spots.
Do I need a quest or trust level to buy it?
All Things How reports no quest or trust-level requirement for the Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar shop route. It does not document requirements for Pryce or the Varnian Guard Head Commander.
What are the Urdavah pickup requirements?
You need access to Urdavah, the Visione helmet, and a lantern. Cross the quicksand by hopping across rocks, reveal and view the memory, then use the lantern to expose two glowing dig spots.
Which Urdavah dig spot contains the sword?
The guide reports that one of the two glowing spots contains the Alabaster Curved Sword and the other contains a Modest Silver Pouch. It does not provide a fixed textual landmark identifying left or right, so inspect both.
What is the Alabaster Curved Sword’s base Attack?
The consistent level-0 listing is 12 Attack. Gfinity reports the buried copy at level 2 with 16 Attack, while the reported +10 value is 34 Attack.
Why does CrimsonDB show Attack 2?
CrimsonDB displays 2 without explaining its level or calculation basis. Because other listings report 12 at level 0, treat the value of 2 as an unresolved database discrepancy rather than the base stat.
Can I refine the sword to +10?
All Things How describes refinement from +0 through +10, reaching a reported 34 Attack at +10. It also describes material refinement and combining two copies at the same tier, but higher-tier material entries are not fully specific.
Is the vendor route better than the buried route?
No tested comparison establishes a fastest or best route. Buying costs the reported 348 Copper and has no stated quest or trust requirement; the buried route avoids that currency cost but requires Visione, a lantern, travel, and the Urdavah sequence.
The Bottom Line
Start with Gurbit, Tranan, or Omar and look for the reported 348-Copper listing. If the sword is not available, pursue the separate Urdavah pickup above Forebearer’s Barrens with Visione and a lantern. Treat both as guide-reported routes, verify the item’s tier and Attack value in your own game, and remember that no official Pearl Abyss page currently reconciles them.
