First unlock and craft the base Kuku Pack through the Witch of Wisdom quest, then get Grimnir’s rocket-pack blueprint from his assistant in southern Pailune and make the upgrade at the Kilnden Workshop.
1. Unlock the base Kuku Pack blueprint
During the Witch of Wisdom faction quest, go to the Sanctum of Penitence and repair the broken kiln. The guides describe this sequence:
- Find the floating block near the entrance and move it with Axiom Force.
- Place and rotate it on the bottom-left tower.
- Use Force Palm to lock it into place.
The resulting cutscene grants Blueprint I: Kuku Pack. Games.GG and All Things How describe the kiln repair as the first step in the crafting route.
2. Craft the base Kuku Pack
At the Kilnden Workshop, use the Mysterious Iron Pot to craft the base pack. The listed ingredients are:

The Peddler’s Pack may take some searching. A Millenium guide suggests checking merchants and NPCs, including around quarries and along merchant routes, but these are suggestions rather than guaranteed locations. Make sure you have the exact Peddler’s Pack variant.
3. Get the rocket-pack blueprint in Pailune
When the relevant faction content is available, look for Grimnir’s assistant on the south side of Pailune, in connection with the Fire Breathing Pack faction quest. The assistant gives you the Letter from Grimnir.

- Open your inventory and select the letter.
- Choose Examine.
Receiving the letter alone may not unlock the recipe: the guides say you must examine it for the rocket-pack blueprint to appear in Knowledge. See the walkthroughs from Games.GG and Destructoid.
4. Craft the Kuku Rocket Pack
Return to Grimnir at the Kilnden Workshop to craft the upgrade. Two guides list this recipe:

Guides disagree about the chapter timing: some place the opportunity around Chapter 8, when Pailune is a functional hub, while Millenium points to visiting after Pailune’s liberation in Chapter 7. They also warn that advancing too far without completing the related faction content could make the opportunity missable, but do not establish an exact cutoff.

Check Pailune’s faction quests as soon as the hub becomes available, and complete the related steps before pushing far ahead. The chapter labels are guide estimates, not a confirmed universal deadline.
Equip the pack and check what you have unlocked
The reviewed guide says the pack is exclusive to Oongka and is equipped from the Tools inventory tab. If the rocket upgrade is not available, check the steps that are easy to confuse:

- You need the base Kuku Pack first. The rocket item is an upgrade, not a substitute for the initial blueprint and craft.
- Examine the letter. Having Letter from Grimnir in your inventory may not unlock the recipe until you select Examine.
- Use the current crafting screen as the authority. Walkthroughs differ on the Small Battery count, and recipe details may change.
