Towering Earth is a grimoire in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Waldhar is the reported source. The book is requested in both Spellbound and The Sorcerer’s Appraisal. The guides differ on exactly when Waldhar gives it to you, so check in with him as you advance the related quests.
Where do you get Towering Earth?
Speak with Waldhar. Gamer Guides places him in the Gracious Hand’s Vault after progress through Heel of History and The Caged Magistrate. GameSpot reports that repeatedly speaking with him during The Caged Magistrate can produce the grimoire. Because these accounts describe the timing differently, there is no single exact trigger established here. If he does not hand over the book, continue the quest progress and try his dialogue again.

Which quests need Towering Earth?
Both quests request the same five grimoires, but they are separate quests with different quest givers:

The quest-data listing confirms the shared book requirements, but does not establish what happens if you hand over a grimoire to one quest before the other. Do not assume that delivering Towering Earth to one quest will permanently prevent completing the other.

Finding the book is only one part of Spellbound. Its listed follow-up steps involve returning to Trysha after a few days, exhausting her magick reserves, letting her recover, and visiting Eini later. Those are quest progression steps, not additional instructions for obtaining Towering Earth.

PowerPyx lists the following rewards for Spellbound: 2,000 XP, 3,000 G, Cast Stone, Conjurer’s Jottings, and Enchanter’s Almanac. For The Sorcerer’s Appraisal, it lists 11,000 G, 2,100 XP, Ares Morpho Robe, and Myrddin’s Chronicle. These are walkthrough-reported reward details, not official confirmations.
