To get Unbroken Flameruff Spirits in Aniimo, go to Beast Fang Ridge during the daytime and defeat the named elite Flameruff, Flameruff the Mighty. Capturing it gives no spirit, and the drop is not guaranteed. You need six spirits for the Flameruff-to-Inferlupa evolution branch.
Where Unbroken Flameruff Spirits come from
Unbroken Flameruff Spirit is an Epic evolution material. The item reference describes it as “A piece of the burning spirit of a Flameruff fighter that ignites relentless determination in Flameruffs.” Its listed sources are defeating Flameruff: Elite and releasing Inferlupa.

For normal farming, the practical source is the elite encounter in Beast Fang Ridge. The target is identified in encounter guides as Flameruff the Mighty, a Gamma-stage elite Flameruff that appears during the day.

- Travel to Beast Fang Ridge. This is the actionable map name used by the item index and encounter guides.
- Wait for daytime. Flameruff the Mighty is reported as a daytime encounter.
- Search for the named elite. Guides place it near the withered forest and the Inferlupa elite area. Use the encounter name shown in-game—“Flameruff the Mighty”—as your primary identifier rather than relying only on a map label.
- Defeat it. Do not capture the elite if you are farming spirits. The guide specifically states that capturing Flameruff the Mighty awards no Unbroken Flameruff Spirit.
- Return and repeat. The encounter can be farmed again by returning through the Outpost. Continue until you have six spirits.
- Use the materials at the evolution screen. The branch requires six Unbroken Flameruff Spirits and one Night Stone.
Why you may not receive a spirit
You captured Flameruff the Mighty
Capture is the wrong action for this material. The encounter guide says the spirit is obtained by defeating the elite, while capturing it gives none. If you captured the Flameruff, you will need to find the encounter again.

The drop did not appear after a defeat
The spirit is not a guaranteed drop. The available guides do not publish a percentage chance or an expected number of battles, so there is no reliable attempt count to plan around. Keep defeating the named elite until the required total is collected.
You fought an ordinary Flameruff
Regular Flameruffs are not the documented target for this material. Look specifically for the named elite, Flameruff the Mighty, also listed in item data as Flameruff: Elite.

How many spirits are needed for Inferlupa?
The Flameruff-to-Inferlupa branch costs:

Different references use two names. The practical item index and farming guides call the destination Beast Fang Ridge. An item reference uses the lore or map wording Thousand-Fang Ridge. The available material does not establish whether these are alternate labels for one area or separate labels used by different data sets.

For navigation, start with Beast Fang Ridge and confirm the elite’s name in the live encounter UI. If your map or item text displays Thousand-Fang Ridge, treat that wording as the alternate name rather than assuming the spirit comes from a different type of Flameruff.
Evolution requirements and form restrictions
The evolution guides report that the Journey: Warrior quest gates the Inferlupa branch. They document the regular, basic orange Flameruff as eligible. Highland, Mountainwoods and other regional variants are reported to take different branches.

Before spending the materials, open the current evolution screen and verify that your Flameruff shows the Inferlupa route. This is especially important if you are using a regional variant or playing a build that differs from the documented data.
