The current upcoming release of Metaphor: ReFantazio is its Nintendo Switch 2 version, scheduled for November 12, 2026. The original game launched in 2024, so its old preorder and collector’s edition are not new 2026 preorder offers.
Where can I pre-order Metaphor: ReFantazio?
For US buyers, Nintendo’s official Switch 2 store page is a confirmed preorder listing: Metaphor: ReFantazio for Nintendo Switch 2. SEGA says the Switch 2 release will be offered in physical and digital standard editions. Its announcement confirms the edition formats, but does not provide a complete current list of third-party retailers with physical copies in stock.

Check the live listing for your country before ordering. Confirm the platform is Switch 2, whether the copy is physical or digital, the regional price, delivery or download timing, and the exact bonus terms. SEGA says physical standard-edition bonuses are available while stocks last; that does not mean every region has the same gift.
What comes with the Switch 2 preorder?
Nintendo’s US preorder listing identifies two in-game item sets. Nintendo says the downloaded DLC can be received at Akademeia, an in-game facility, and gives an availability cutoff of November 11, 2026 at 8:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

SEGA separately says digital preorders made by November 11, 2026 at 10:59 p.m. GMT+8 receive the early-purchase bonus, while physical standard-edition bonuses are available while stocks last. These deadlines and conditions are stated for different market contexts; use the terms shown by the storefront serving your region.

Nintendo’s US Atlus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition listing describes the anniversary bundle as digital. Its soundtrack is playable only inside its app; Nintendo says it cannot be downloaded as MP3 or another audio format. If you want a physical copy, choose the physical standard edition rather than the digital anniversary bundle.

Does the physical edition come with a preorder bonus?
SEGA says physical standard-edition preorder bonuses are available while stocks last. The announcement does not establish one identical gift across all countries or retailers, and Nintendo’s US standard preorder page identifies in-game bonus items rather than third-party store-specific gifts. Check the exact retailer listing for the region, bonus item, and whether availability is limited.
There is also a regional Southeast Asia offer: the official ATLUS/SEGA Asia page lists a Metaphor: ReFantazio Flight Tag as a physical-edition purchase bonus and names regional stores. That offer is evidence for Southeast Asia only; it should not be assumed to apply in the US or elsewhere.

What was in the original collector’s edition?
The original game released on October 11, 2024, so its preorder period has passed. ATLUS’s product page describes that release’s collector’s edition as including:
- A physical base game and SteelBook.
- A soundtrack and artbook.
- Homo Tenta metallic pins, a sticker sheet, and a Kingdom of Euchronia cloth map.
- A costume and battle BGM DLC voucher.
- An Atlus 35th Anniversary digital history book and soundtrack.
- Preorder bonus voucher and content.
Those are details of the original edition, not evidence that this collector’s edition is available as a new 2026 preorder. The upcoming release covered here is the Switch 2 version due November 12, 2026.
