If you have finished the original Solo Leveling manhwa, read the available epilogue and side stories before starting the sequel. The original comic’s English listing marks its epilogue as available, while Yen Press catalogs Vol. 14 and Vol. 15 as “Side Stories 1” and “Side Stories 2.” After that, continue with Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, a separate sequel that follows Sung Sooho, Jinwoo’s son. In English, the sequel is available digitally through Tapas and in collected print and digital editions from Yen Press and Ize Press.
What to read first after the original ending
“The manhwa ends” can mean two different things. You may mean the end of the original main storyline, or you may mean every comic connected to that storyline. Those are not the same stopping point.

The cleanest reading order is:
- Finish the original Solo Leveling comic’s main ending.
- Read the original comic’s epilogue and post-ending side stories.
- Start Solo Leveling: Ragnarok if you want the franchise’s next major story.
This order lets you complete Jinwoo’s original story before switching to a new protagonist and a different series. Ragnarok is not a batch of extra chapters inserted into the original comic; Yen Press identifies it as the sequel.

Where to read the original epilogue and side stories
Digital original comic and epilogue
Tappytoon’s English listing for Solo Leveling carries the notice “Epilogue now available.” The listing identifies the comic as published under license and credits Chugong, DISCIPLES (REDICE), DUBU (REDICE), and h-goon. If you stopped when the main conflict appeared to be over, return to that listing and look for the epilogue material before moving to Ragnarok.
The Tappytoon page is the relevant licensed English destination for the digital original. Its label matters because an unofficial upload or an old reading guide may stop at the main ending and omit the later material. Use the current series page to see which episodes are available and what unlock rules apply to your account or territory.
Platform labels and episode access can change by territory or over time, so use the current series page rather than relying on an old episode list or an unofficial upload. The important distinction is that the epilogue belongs to the original comic and is the appropriate next step for readers who want more of Jinwoo’s story.

Collected editions of the original’s aftermath
Yen Press’s catalog separates the later original-comic material from the main run:
| Edition | Yen Press catalog label | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Solo Leveling, Vol. 14 | Side Stories 1 | Post-ending material within the original series |
| Solo Leveling, Vol. 15 | Side Stories 2 | Additional post-ending material within the original series |
These volumes are not the same thing as Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. They are the original series’ side-story volumes, so readers who prefer books can use them to finish the aftermath before changing series. Read Vol. 14 before Vol. 15 because the catalog presents them as the first and second side-story collections.
The catalog information establishes the side-story designation, but it does not provide a universal episode-to-volume equivalence. Avoid trying to match a particular digital episode to a print chapter by guesswork, and do not assume that a novel chapter number maps directly to either format. If you need a specific edition, check the Yen Press listing for the format and retailer serving your location.

Digital episodes: Tapas
Tapas lists the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok comic in English. Its latest status notice says that Season 2 has ended and that the series will take a hiatus before returning with Season 3. Tapas posted that notice on January 31, 2026. The notice does not give a return date.

The notice comes from Team Tapas and says, in part, “Season 2 has come to a close and so we will be taking a hiatus before returning with season 3!” It confirms the pause but does not say whether the return will occur on a particular date or month. Readers should therefore separate the amount currently available from the future release schedule.
Collected print and digital volumes: Yen Press and Ize Press
Yen Press lists English print and digital volumes of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Its Vol. 1 product page identifies the collected edition and lists Amazon among the retailers. Availability and inventory can vary by country, format, and date, so verify the current listing before ordering.
The collected route is useful if you want a permanent book rather than weekly or seasonal digital episodes. The digital route is useful if you want to begin with the currently released comic material without waiting for a collected volume. Neither route changes the reading order: complete the original epilogue and side stories if you want all of the original series, then begin Ragnarok as a sequel.

Check the product page and the retailer’s regional availability at the time you buy.
What changes when you start Ragnarok?
The most important change is the story’s central character. Ragnarok follows Sung Sooho, Jinwoo’s son, rather than presenting itself as another continuation focused exclusively on Jinwoo. Yen Press describes Sooho as an apparently ordinary college student whose parents have disappeared. During a monster outbreak, he begins to awaken as a Player.
This setup makes Ragnarok a new entry point within the same franchise, not a replacement title for the original’s side stories. Expect the premise, cast focus, and immediate stakes to shift. Readers seeking direct aftermath from the original should stay with the epilogue and Vol. 14–15 side stories. Readers who want a new protagonist and the next sequel narrative should move to Ragnarok.
The change in lead is also the practical reason to explain the handoff before recommending a volume. Someone expecting more chapters built around Jinwoo may mistake the opening of Ragnarok for a spin-off or unrelated title. It is officially presented as the sequel, but its opening situation is Sooho’s: college life, missing parents, a monster outbreak, and the beginning of his Player awakening.

Use the first two rows if your goal is completion of the original comic. Use either Ragnarok row after that if your goal is the next franchise story. The format comparison is straightforward: Tappytoon and Tapas are the official digital starting points for the original and sequel respectively, while Yen Press/Ize Press supplies collected-book options. Release status is different as well. The original epilogue is marked available, whereas Tapas currently describes Ragnarok as paused between seasons.
Step-by-step reading plan
Plan A: Finish every original-comic chapter available
- Open the licensed English Solo Leveling listing on Tappytoon.
- Confirm that you have reached the end of the main story, then continue into the listing’s epilogue material.
- If you prefer print, locate Yen Press’s original-comic catalog and look for Vol. 14, labeled “Side Stories 1,” followed by Vol. 15, labeled “Side Stories 2.”
- Only after those side stories should you switch to the separate Ragnarok series if you want the sequel.
This is the completion route: it keeps the original comic’s epilogue and side stories together and delays the protagonist change until all of that material is finished.
Plan B: Move directly to the sequel
- Finish the original main ending.
- Decide whether you are comfortable postponing the original epilogue and side stories. If not, use Plan A instead.
- Open the English Solo Leveling: Ragnarok listing on Tapas for digital episodes, or select an English collected edition from Yen Press/Ize Press.
- Start with Ragnarok Vol. 1 or the first available digital episode, remembering that the protagonist is Sooho.
- Check Tapas for the latest season notice before expecting additional episodes; the January 31, 2026 notice reports a hiatus before Season 3 but gives no return date.
Plan B is best for readers whose priority is the sequel rather than exhaustive completion of the original. You can return to the epilogue and side-story volumes later; the key is not to mistake those volumes for Ragnarok.
How the hiatus affects your choice
The Tapas notice means the digital comic is between seasons at the status date, not that the series has been canceled. It also does not establish when Season 3 will begin. If you dislike reaching a pause, you can wait until more episodes are released or choose the collected editions currently listed by Yen Press. If you want to read as much as is available now, Tapas is the direct English digital route.
Do not confuse a seasonal hiatus in Ragnarok with the completion status of the original comic. Tappytoon’s epilogue notice concerns the original series, while Tapas’s Season 2 notice concerns the sequel. They describe different publications.
A hiatus also does not create a new reading order. Start with the material already released, beginning at Ragnarok Vol. 1 or its first digital episode, and treat future seasons as continuation when Tapas announces them. No official return date is stated in the January 31 notice, so any exact date found elsewhere should be treated cautiously unless the platform updates its listing.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Stopping at the main ending: The original comic has additional epilogue and side-story material.
- Treating Vol. 14 and Vol. 15 as Ragnarok: Yen Press labels both as side-story volumes of the original comic.
- Expecting Jinwoo to remain the sole lead: Ragnarok centers on Sooho, his son.
- Assuming a return date: Tapas announced a hiatus before Season 3 on January 31, 2026, but did not state when the series would return.
- Relying on unofficial chapter maps: The available publisher information does not establish a universal correspondence between digital episodes, print volumes, and the original novel.
- Assuming every region has identical access: Digital availability, unlock rules, retailer stock, and edition timing can vary by location and change over time.
- Assuming all listings describe the same publication: Tappytoon’s epilogue label applies to the original comic; Tapas’s season notice applies to Ragnarok.
- Expecting a specific retailer to have stock: Yen Press lists Amazon for Vol. 1, but inventory can change and may differ by country.
Bottom line for each type of reader
If you want Jinwoo’s complete original comic story
Stay with the original series: read the Tappytoon epilogue, then the Yen Press side-story volumes, Vol. 14 and Vol. 15.
