You start the quest, “Check on the Jawa Settlement,” by talking to a Prospector outside Pyloon’s Saloon in Rambler’s Reach Outpost. You need Dash to get through the strong-wind fan on the way, and the rescue is finished by defeating the Bedlam Raiders and speaking with the Jawa at the Sandcrawler.
Where the Jawas are
The Jawas are in the Bygone Settlement, a section of Koboh that you reach from the Rambler’s Reach area. The Sandcrawler is the destination at the end of the route, so the rescue is not a stop in the settlement itself but the final stretch past it. Walkthrough sources, including Game8’s guide to the rumor and Gameranx’s guide to recruiting every Rambler’s Reach settler, agree on this location.

Starting the rumor
The quest begins as a rumor, not a marked objective, so you need to pick it up from an NPC.
- Travel to Rambler’s Reach Outpost on Koboh.
- Find the Prospector standing outside Pyloon’s Saloon.
- Speak with the Prospector to receive the rumor “Check on the Jawa Settlement.”
Game8 notes that this rumor becomes available on your third visit to Koboh. If you have been to the outpost but cannot find the Prospector, check that you have progressed far enough in the story to have returned to Koboh for that third time.

Route to the Sandcrawler
Once the rumor is active, the route is a climbing and traversal challenge. Dash is the gate: you cannot pass the strong-wind fan without it. Game8 places Dash’s unlock during the second Jedha section of the story, so you should have it before you attempt this area.
- Fast travel to the meditation point at the Bygone Settlement.
- Follow the climbing and wall-running route through the settlement.
- At the strong-wind fan, use an air dash to cross the wind and continue on.
- Keep moving across the platforms and climbing surfaces toward the Jawas.
- Defeat the enemies guarding the Jawas. Gameranx identifies these as Bedlam Raiders.
- Cross the gap using the lowered platform and the hanging platforms, then reach the Sandcrawler.
Finishing the rescue
After the final encounter, talk to a Jawa to complete the quest. Game8 lists a Priorite Shard, found behind the Jawa, as the reward for finishing the rumor.

What happens afterward at Rambler’s Reach
The Jawas do not stay in the Bygone Settlement. Game8 says the rescue opens a building connected to the outpost roof puzzle, and Gamer Guides describes the Jawas returning to Rambler’s Reach to clear rubble from the buildings. In practical terms, returning to the outpost after the rescue is the next step, both for the settler payoff and for the roof puzzle.

- No Prospector outside Pyloon’s Saloon: The rumor is tied to a later visit to Koboh. Confirm you are on your third visit before searching the outpost again.
- Cannot pass the fan: You need Dash. Revisit the story point where Dash is unlocked, then return to the fan.
- Jawa will not complete the quest: Make sure the Bedlam Raiders guarding the group are defeated before speaking with the Jawa.
