Complete the Chronicles of a New Era quest “Glory Incarnate”, then speak to Gabbro in Solution Nine at X:22.3, Y:17.1 as a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic. AAC Heavyweight Tier (Savage) is available through the Raid Finder; each of its four fights has a minimum average item-level gate.
Unlock the Savage tier
- Complete “Glory Incarnate,” the preceding Chronicles of a New Era quest. Square Enix’s Patch 7.4 notes display the quest title as “???”, while the name is identified by a community guide. Community guide
- Use a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic.
- Go to Solution Nine and speak with Gabbro at X:22.3, Y:17.1 to unlock AAC Heavyweight Tier (Savage). Square Enix Patch 7.4 notes
Savage access opened on January 6, 2026, at 2:00 a.m. PST (10:00 GMT / 21:00 AEDT), so it is already available. Square Enix Patch 7.4 notes
Check the item-level gate for your fight
Each floor has its own minimum average item level. Compare your gear with the gate for the specific fight you plan to enter.

Register through the Raid Finder
Square Enix states that AAC Heavyweight Tier (Savage) “can only be accessed via the Raid Finder.” The tier is designed for an eight-player party. When registering as a full party, item-level and role restrictions are lifted; that exception does not remove the quest or level prerequisite for unlocking the tier. Square Enix Patch 7.4 notes
Rewards and token exchange
Savage clears award treasure coffers containing Grand Champion’s gear, and M4 coffers can also contain weapons. Clears also award AAC Illustrated: HW Edition tokens. First-clear token eligibility is weekly per area. To exchange tokens for gear or listed upgrade items, visit Hhihwi in Solution Nine at X:8.7, Y:13.4.
