Skandha items are not used at a shrine or altar. You collect all five across the story and hand the complete set to Xu Dog, who turns it into the Five Skandhas Pill. He is at the Cellar in Chapter 2, or at Zodiac Village if Chen Loong’s quest has unlocked that location.
Where each Skandha comes from
There are five Skandhas, one per chapter-based pickup or boss reward. Four are found in Chapters 1 through 4, and the fifth is gated behind the first four in Chapter 6.

Finding the first four
Skandha of Form
This is the one most players miss, because it is a field pickup rather than a boss reward. In Forest of Wolves, after the first shrine, cross the wooden bridge into the open forest. Check the left side for a Buddha-face rock and inspect it before you reach the Bullguard.
Skandha of Feeling
This item sits behind a separate optional fight. Collect all six Buddha Eyeballs scattered around Fright Cliff. At Rockrest Flat, enter the Stone Vanguard arena and interact with the large rock to use them. The Shigandang that appears drops Skandha of Feeling once defeated. Without all six eyeballs, the fight cannot be started.

Skandha of Thought
Begin at Valley of Ecstasy’s Mindfulness Cliff, past the shrine. The walkthroughs used here agree on the destination, a Buddha head on the lower path, but differ on the approach. Gamer Guides places the pickup after the Non-White encounter. PowerPyx describes moving forward from the shrine to the boards and dropping down on the right side. If one route does not show the head, try the other and look for the rock beside the boards.
Skandha of Choice
From The Purifying Spring shrine in Webbed Hollow, find the stream or pond on the left. Follow the water route to the Buddha head that holds this Skandha.

Skandha of Consciousness and Giant Shigandang
Chapter 5 has no Skandha pickup, according to the walkthroughs cited here. Return to Mount Huaguo in Chapter 6 once you have the first four. Collecting them unlocks the optional Giant Shigandang encounter. One walkthrough advises using the Somersault Cloud to fly toward the Son of Stones area, then taking the narrow route beyond it. After defeating the giant, climb its arm to collect Skandha of Consciousness.
Do not confuse the two Shigandang fights
- Chapter 2 Shigandang is summoned with six Buddha Eyeballs at Rockrest Flat and drops Skandha of Feeling.
- Giant Shigandang in Chapter 6 is unlocked by the first four Skandhas and drops Skandha of Consciousness.
Turning in the complete set
Once you have all five, visit Xu Dog at the Chapter 2 Cellar, or at Zodiac Village if it is unlocked. Show him the full set and choose the option to make the Five Skandhas Pill.

The walkthroughs describe the pill as raising Health, Mana, and Stamina. None of the cited sources gives a reliable numerical value for the boost, so do not expect a specific figure. A reader comment on PowerPyx claims Attack and Defense also increase, but that claim is not in the guide’s main text, and no authoritative source confirms it.

- Skandha of Feeling: confirm you have all six Buddha Eyeballs before going to Rockrest Flat.
- Skandha of Consciousness: confirm you have the first four Skandhas and have unlocked the Somersault Cloud before flying toward the Son of Stones area.
- Skandha of Thought: try both approaches described above, since the walkthroughs differ on the route.
- Any item: check the chapter and area in the table at the top, because the Buddha-head and rock landmarks are easy to pass without interacting.
Directions here come from published walkthroughs and may vary with game version or later patches. If a landmark has moved, the chapter, nearest shrine, and prerequisite are the most reliable things to match.
