To complete the three-cure objective in Where Winds Meet’s “The Ephemeral Blight,” collect the Mistveil Forest Cure notes for Wishing Cove, Hollow Abode, and Aureate Pavilion, then return them to Zhai Xu. You can start the objective by reading the Thousand-Wish Amendment in your quest inventory.
Start “The Ephemeral Blight” and activate the cure objective
- Enter the miasma in Mistveil Forest and follow the rescue sequence to Wishing Cove.
- Speak with Zhai Xu at Wishing Cove.
- Use the hanging wind chime to distract him, then take the Thousand-Wish Amendment and the Mistveil Forest Cure: Wishing Cove from the table.
- Open your quest inventory and read the Thousand-Wish Amendment. This activates the objective to obtain the three cures.

Wishing Cove
The Wishing Cove note is in Zhai Xu’s house, on the table with the Thousand-Wish Amendment. Distract Zhai Xu with the hanging wind chime before taking the documents.
Hollow Abode
Travel to Hollow Abode and follow the stealth-infiltration route to reach its cure note. The Hollow Abode note is one of the two remaining locations after the Wishing Cove document; it is separate from the Aureate Pavilion note.
Aureate Pavilion
Go to the Aureate Pavilion outpost and search inside its main building for the cure note.

Return the notes to Zhai Xu
Once you have the Wishing Cove, Hollow Abode, and Aureate Pavilion notes, return to Zhai Xu to advance “The Ephemeral Blight.” The route and item placements described here come from third-party walkthrough guidance rather than official quest documentation, so check the objective names in your game if an update changes them.
