Path of Water is a Divinecraft Dungeon behind a waterfall near Petalfall Crossing in western Kaifeng. To finish it, use bells to briefly activate seals for Meridian Touch, then operate the dragon-head spout and lever to flood or drain the rooms. There are five optional chests before the final chest; the route below lists them in order.
Where to find Path of Water
Look for the waterfall near the Petalfall Crossing boundary stone in western Kaifeng. The dungeon entrance is behind it; Game8 also places the dungeon at Petalfall Crossing, Jadewood Court. See Game8’s Where Winds Meet guide for its location listing.
For the puzzles, bring a bow with wooden and fire arrows, Meridian Touch, Wind Sense, and Abyss Dive or another lightness skill. Still Waters is also recommended by the walkthrough. These are preparation suggestions, not confirmed entry requirements. The bell-and-seal puzzles require quick movement: shoot a bell, then reach its glowing seal and use Meridian Touch before the bell’s effect ends. If the glow goes out, activate the bell again.
First room: activate the bell and open the stairs
- Drop to the lower floor and check the far-left wall for a low crawl opening. Crawl through to collect optional chest 1, then return using the ladder.
- Pull the upper lever to expose the bell. Shoot it, move down to the glowing seal, and use Meridian Touch while the bell remains active. If the window closes, pull the lever and shoot the bell again.
- Go down the stairs opened by the seal to find optional chest 2.
Second room: use water levels to reach chests 3 and 4
- At the water-control console, move the dragon-head spout all the way to the right, then pull the lever to flood the room.
- Move the spout one position left, but do not pull the lever yet. Swim to the left platform and collect optional chest 3.
- From that platform, shoot the bell behind the wooden barrier. Return to the lever and pull it to drain the area around the lower seal.
- Reach the glowing seal and use Meridian Touch before the bell effect expires. The side room then opens; collect optional chest 4 underwater and continue through the submerged tunnel.
Moving the spout selects which waterwheel or area is affected; the lever applies the change. Treat them as two separate actions, and follow the order above.

Third area: collect chest 5 and free the waterwheel
- Swim through the tunnel and climb the ladder. Look for optional chest 5 on a right-hand ledge partway up.
- Continue to the upper level. If the wheel is hard to spot, use Wind Sense to locate the roots or vines covering the far waterwheel.
- Shoot the vines with fire arrows to free the wheel.
Unlock the connecting passage and reach the final chest
- Return to the main console, move the spout left, and pull the lever to drain the distant room.
- Climb to the broken wall between the rooms and shoot the visible bell from above.
- Get down to the lower seal and use Meridian Touch while the bell is active. This unlocks the connecting passage.
- Move the spout right and pull the lever to flood both rooms.
- Dive through the underwater doorway, cross to the far side, and climb out toward the tower-like structure. Open the chest on the far platform.

The detailed chest guide lists the final chest’s rewards as Frostbane Crown, two Medicinal Tales, 25 Echo Jade, 25 Kaifeng Exploration, 10,800 character EXP, and 10,800 Coin. A separate walkthrough lists the same named rewards and quantities but calls the exploration points Qinghe Exploration. How flooding and draining affect the route
- Flooding provides swimming access to elevated platforms and submerged paths.
- Draining exposes lower floors and doors, including the areas needed to reach seals.
- Bell timing is temporary: activate the bell before moving to its seal, and repeat if its effect expires.
