Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play, open-world Wuxia action-adventure RPG set in tenth-century China. Platforms and mobile availability
NetEase’s global launch announcement listed Steam, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and the official website for the November 2025 PC and PS5 launch. In a separate announcement dated December 1, 2025, NetEase said the iOS and Android versions would launch on December 12, 2025 UTC. Availability can vary by country and storefront, so check the store in your region before planning where to play.
The game is listed as free to play on its official launch materials and platform storefronts. For PC, Steam lists 130 GB of available storage as a minimum and recommends installing the game on an SSD for a better experience. That storage figure comes from Steam’s listing, accessed October 8, 2026; check the live listing for current requirements. The listing does not specify an SSD form factor or a particular compatible model.

On PS5, PlayStation lists DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers as supported features. These describe controller functionality, not a requirement to buy an additional controller.
How to link accounts for cross-progression
If you want to continue an existing character on another platform, handle account linking before creating a character there. The official account-linking guide, dated November 10, 2025, warns that two accounts that already have characters cannot be linked under its instructions. It also says manual unlinking is unavailable after accounts are linked.

- On the platform with the character you want to keep, log in to the game and reach the title screen.
- Open User Center, then select Link Account.
- Complete the linking process before creating a new character on the other platform.
- If both accounts already have characters, or you need help with a linked account, contact the game’s customer support. The guide says accounts cannot be manually unlinked.

Can you play solo or co-op?
Both solo and multiplayer play are part of the game’s official descriptions. NetEase describes solo play and co-op with up to four others. Steam lists single-player, online co-op, online PvP, and cross-platform multiplayer; its store description also mentions guilds, dungeons, raids, and duels. PlayStation describes solo play and co-op with up to four friends.

Choose a guide according to the activity you want to complete: story and exploration for solo play, or activity-specific guides for group content and PvP. The platform descriptions establish that these modes are offered, but do not verify the current requirements or steps for every activity.
Setting and scale
NetEase places the game in tenth-century China during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, with the player as a wandering sword master in a Wuxia world. Its global-launch description promoted more than 20 regions, more than 10,000 unique NPCs, over 40 martial mystic arts, and over 150 hours of solo exploration and adventure. These are publisher-provided launch-era figures, not independent measurements or guarantees of the current game’s content.
