For Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered, Activision confirms offline Multiplayer on PS4 and Xbox One, but does not say that mode includes bots. Offline access, local Multiplayer, and offline bot matches are different claims.
Confirmed offline bots: Black Ops Cold War, with important limits
Activision says that, during installation on consoles, players can launch Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and play Multiplayer against bots in an offline experience. The documented experience includes only a subset of maps and modes, preset loadouts, limited Scorestreaks, and randomly chosen Operators. Activision says this start-while-installing experience is not available on PC. Activision’s installation and setup guidance does not establish that the same bot experience is available after the game is fully installed.
Activision lists these approximate installation points for beginning the experience. They are not the game’s total download or install sizes; the page does not state a publication year for the figures.

The official guide describes a limited console installation experience; it does not establish that a disc, by itself, guarantees offline play or that no update or connection check will be needed.

Offline Multiplayer is confirmed, but bots are not: two games
For these games, Activision confirms offline Multiplayer on certain consoles. Its FAQs do not say whether those offline matches can be filled with AI bots, so they should not be treated as verified offline bot options.

Activision also says online progression does not carry over into Local mode or vice versa for both titles. Do not assume that an offline or local match will use the same progression as online play.

Older games: manuals confirm practice or local play, not offline bots
Call of Duty: Black Ops
The official manual describes Combat Training as playing against Practice Dummies alone or with friends. That supports the presence of practice opponents, but the cited manual passage does not establish that Combat Training works without an internet connection. Black Ops manual.

The official manual says Multiplayer can be played online and locally. The passage reviewed does not confirm that local Multiplayer has bots. Black Ops II manual.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Activision says a continuous internet connection is required for Multiplayer, including Private Matches, and DMZ. That rules out assuming Private Matches are available offline, but the guidance does not specifically address bots. Activision also lists split-screen Multiplayer on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5; split-screen is not the same as offline bot support. See the Modern Warfare 4 editions FAQ.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Activision’s Black Ops 6 installation and setup support page does not answer whether offline bot matches are available. Its bot support should therefore be treated as unconfirmed here, not as a yes or a no.
How to verify a specific Call of Duty before relying on offline bots
Check the exact title and platform rather than relying on a franchise-wide claim. A game may launch offline or offer local Multiplayer without allowing bots in that mode.

- Match the edition and platform. Confirm the specific game and whether you have its console or PC version; documented availability can differ by platform.
- Check what “offline” means. Determine whether you mean fully disconnected from the internet, local play without a paid console online subscription, or a match that still connects online. These are not interchangeable.
- Check installation state. Cold War’s documented bot experience is available during installation on consoles and has a limited map and mode selection. Do not assume that this describes fully installed play.
- Look for explicit bot wording. Confirmation of offline Multiplayer or local play does not confirm AI opponents. Check the game’s official support page or manual for an explicit statement about bots in offline matches.
- Verify the match details you need. Confirm maps, modes, loadouts, split-screen, and progression separately; availability of one feature does not establish the others.
