The Game Awards 2025 took place on December 11, 2025, so this is a record of what was revealed, not a forecast of what might appear. The headline reveals were Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, a new game in Larian Studios’ Divinity series, Control Resonant, Ontos, two Tomb Raider titles, and the Diablo IV expansion Lord of Hatred. Most of the rest of the show was made up of trailers, release dates, demos, expansions and platform updates rather than first reveals.

- New game reveal: a title shown for the first time, such as Ontos or Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic.
- Sequel or reimagining: a new entry tied to an existing franchise. Xbox Wire called Control Resonant a sequel to Control, and Embracer Group described Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis as a reimagining.
- Expansion reveal: new content for an existing game, such as Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred.
- Trailer, release date, demo or platform update: new material for something already known. Many of the more than 50 items VGC reported fell into this group.

Notes on each reveal
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
VGC’s post-show list records the game as announced and names Casey Hudson, director of the original Knights of the Old Republic, as its director. The coverage cited here gives no release window, so the reveal should be read as an announcement only.
Divinity
The mysterious statue displayed at the event was tied to a new game in Larian Studios’ Divinity series, according to VGC. The reveal confirmed the series entry, but the coverage does not supply a release timing.

Control Resonant

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider: Catalyst
Embracer Group said Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Game Studios unveiled both titles. Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining, and Catalyst is the next major chapter. In the company’s December 12, 2025 press release, Embracer Group CEO Phil Rogers said: “This is a significant moment for Tomb Raider and a testament to the strength of our partnership with Amazon Game Studios.” The release placed Legacy of Atlantis in 2026 and Catalyst in 2027. Those were the plans at the time of announcement. This article does not confirm whether either title has shipped, so check the publisher’s current store pages before treating either date as current.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred
Xbox Wire describes Blizzard’s expansion as a world premiere and reports a planned April 28, 2026 launch across Battle.net, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Steam. Read that date as the one announced in December 2025, not as confirmed availability.

The scale of the show
VGC counted more than 50 game reveals, new trailers and other announcements. That total also includes release dates, platform news, expansions, demos and updates, so it is not a count of brand-new premieres. The reveals in the table above are the ones the coverage most clearly presented as new.
The Game Awards’ own announcement put the full broadcast at 171 million global livestreams, up 11% from the 154 million recorded for the 2024 show. The figure excludes associated clips and trailers, so it should not be read as total viewing of the show’s content.

Why this is not a prediction list
This article does not rank games by how likely they were to appear before the show. The sources behind it document what was announced, not what was expected beforehand. That makes the reveal list a record of the event, not evidence that these games were foreseeable.
