For most GTA Online players who want practical travel across the map and quick trips to business locations, the Oppressor Mk II is the better default. The Deluxo is the stronger pick if you want a flying car, a weaponized special vehicle, or the Deluxo-specific Special Vehicle Races. Neither is universally best. Choose by how you plan to use it, because Rockstar’s own descriptions point to different jobs for each.
What each vehicle is designed to do
Oppressor Mk II
Rockstar’s launch announcement describes the Oppressor Mk II as an upgraded, rocket-powered hyperbike. Its boost is meant to cover long distances, make rapid escapes and chases practical, and get you between business locations. You store and customize it at the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop. If your main question is how to move fast around Los Santos and Blaine County while running businesses, this is the vehicle Rockstar built for that role.

Deluxo
Rockstar’s support update notes classify the Imponte Deluxo as one of GTA Online’s fully weaponized vehicles. A later race update added several Deluxo-specific Special Vehicle Races. The Deluxo’s identity is therefore a flying car with built-in combat capability and a dedicated race path. Rockstar’s published material does not frame it as the travel or business-running tool the Mk II is.

A practical decision order
- Start with what you do most often. If it is business runs, cargo or stock missions, or long solo trips, pick the Mk II.
- If you want a vehicle for races or for a flying car with built-in weapons, pick the Deluxo.
- If you are unsure, check the current listing and price before committing (see the price section below). Both vehicles cost enough that the decision is worth making deliberately.
Balance changes that affect older comparisons
Rockstar announced in July 2022 that it would reduce the effectiveness of the Oppressor Mk II’s homing missiles and countermeasures. The implemented update notes say the missiles became less accurate, and that flares and chaff have fewer uses and longer cooldowns. Any claim that the Mk II dominates combat, or that it is weak, should be dated and tied to a specific game version. Those changes make older reputations less reliable.

No official head-to-head combat result has been published for the two vehicles. Rockstar’s announcements and patch notes do not provide win rates, lap times, cost-efficiency figures, or speed comparisons. Treat any numbers you see elsewhere as community measurements, not official data.
Prices: check your own listing
Rockstar’s GTA+ showroom snapshot, taken on 8 October 2026, showed the following temporary member prices. These were discounted showroom offers, not established base prices, and they may not match what you see in your own game.
