For a newcomer on PS5 who wants the broadest package in one purchase, choose KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III]. It bundles 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. If you want to start with the earlier stories or keep your first purchase smaller, 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is the focused starting point. Pick 2.8 on its own when you specifically want its three pre-KHIII components.

Square Enix lists the new PS5 bundle for October 8, 2026. The PlayStation Store pages were still showing preorder status on October 7, 2026, so launch availability and any preorder terms should be checked against the current local listing. Square Enix’s collection announcement and the Canadian PlayStation listing describe the bundle and offer.
What is included in each collection?
KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-
- KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX
- KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories
- KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX
- KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX
- An HD cutscene compilation for 358/2 Days
- An HD cutscene compilation for Re:coded
Square Enix calls it “an essential collection of the first six stories.” That does not mean six playable games: 358/2 Days and Re:coded are represented as cutscene compilations in this collection. If you want to begin at the earliest collection rather than buy every package at once, this is the clearest first purchase.
KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
- KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD
- KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover, a movie
- KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –
Square Enix describes these as three adventures leading toward KINGDOM HEARTS III. This is a targeted choice for someone who wants those components, not a substitute for the earlier collection.
