What to check before using a prepaid card
- Select the actual service, plan, and term. Payment methods can depend on the provider and the checkout option offered for that purchase.
- Inspect checkout before submitting payment. Confirm that your intended method appears, and whether the charge is one-time or set to recur.
- Ask your card issuer about that transaction. Check that the prepaid card permits the relevant online payment and, if the plan renews automatically, any recurring mandate required.
- Check the amount due. Review applicable taxes, storage charges, renewal terms, and any other plan-specific costs before confirming.
Do not treat an India-denominated price, a “prepaid” plan term, or a successful no-card trial as proof that a prepaid card will be accepted.

Why Google Play payment rules do not settle it
Google Play India lists Mastercard and Visa credit or debit cards, RuPay for one-time purchases only, Google Play balance, and UPI.
