Which Disney Dreamlight Valley characters are Halloween Villagers?
“Halloween Villagers” is not an official category in the game’s event material. For the 2026 Season of Scares, the clearest answer is Oogie Boogie: the official September 21, 2026 patch notes introduce him as the featured seasonal Villager. The notes call him Jack Skellington’s rival and describe Zero as a companion.

That distinction matters: a character’s spooky theme or appearance does not by itself make that character a Halloween Villager. The 2026 patch notes also list Halloween activities and themed decorations, which are seasonal content rather than Villagers.
How do you unlock Oogie Boogie?
To start the Season of Scares challenges, you need to have unlocked the Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and Chez Remy. Then follow the in-game prompt to investigate the strange mirror in Scrooge’s shop.

- Complete all six weeks of challenges, including the final showdown, to welcome Oogie Boogie to the Valley.
The challenge window runs from September 23 through November 4, 2026. You must start the first challenge before November 4; if you do, the official notes say you can finish the unlock at your own pace afterward. Zero becomes available through one of Oogie Boogie’s quests.
What else is part of the 2026 Halloween season?
The seasonal schedule includes the Haunted Floating Festival from October 7 through October 31, and a Trick or Treat event from October 14 through October 31. These are activities, not additional Villager unlocks. The update also includes Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town exterior decorations as event rewards.

How did earlier Halloween events work?
The 2025 Trick or Treat event used red, purple, and green Candy Bowls. From October 15 to 30, two bowls of each color appeared every 24 hours; on October 31, they appeared every hour. Each bowl provided two candies matching its color. Players could eat or gift candies to complete event duties.
That event’s rewards included the Haunted Well, Jack-O’-Lanterns, Mickey Mouse Pumpkin, Pumpkin Stack, Trick-or-Treater’s Bounties, and a craftable Mickey’s Halloween Candy Bowl. These details describe the 2025 event, not the 2026 schedule.
