Why is Pax Armata fighting NATO?
Battlefield 6 is set in 2027, when NATO is weakening amid distrust, financial instability, proxy wars, and political disputes. EA’s launch announcement says Pax Armata, a well-funded PMC with advanced technology, moves into the resulting power vacuum. NATO’s remaining forces oppose the company, making Pax Armata the campaign’s central antagonist. EA’s October 10, 2025 launch announcement gives this setting and conflict.
Who does the campaign follow?
The story centers on Dagger 1-3, an elite U.S. Marine Raiders squad tasked with stopping Pax Armata. EA identifies its members and roles as follows:

The campaign spans nine missions across three continents, including battles around Brooklyn and Cairo. What is known about Pax Armata’s leadership?
EA’s official campaign and launch descriptions reviewed here do not name a supreme leader or lay out a complete organizational structure. EA’s campaign reveal says the PMC is bankrolled by former NATO states, but does not identify those states. Claims that a particular country, government, or character controls Pax Armata go beyond those official descriptions.
