The main character in Wuthering Waves is Rover, the player character who awakens with lost memories and sets out with a group of Resonators. Official game descriptions place Rover at the center of the story, but do not establish one gender presentation as uniquely canonical.
Who is Rover?
Rover is the protagonist of Wuthering Waves. The official PlayStation game listing and KURO GAMES’ Steam listing both describe the player waking from slumber as Rover and beginning a journey with Resonators.
What is Rover’s role in the story?
Rover awakens without their memories and travels to recover them. The journey also involves changing the world, with Resonators accompanying Rover along the way. These details make Rover the central player character, rather than one member of the supporting cast.
Is Rover male or female?
The official listings identify the protagonist by the name Rover but do not say that only a male or only a female presentation is canon. They are not enough to settle a more specific question about gender selection or narrative canon, so it is safest to refer to the protagonist as Rover.

Are Spectro Rover and Havoc Rover different main characters?
No. They are gameplay versions of Rover associated with different Attributes, not separate protagonists. The Prydwen character guide identifies Rover as the main character and discusses Spectro and Havoc versions; those gameplay distinctions do not establish a different story identity.
