Xelia Mendes-Jones plays Dane in Prime Video’s live-action Fallout. Dane is associated with the Brotherhood of Steel, and Mendes-Jones is credited in both seasons released so far, including a post-credits scene at the end of Season 2.
Who Xelia Mendes-Jones plays
Mendes-Jones is cast as Dane. Amazon’s official cast announcement for Fallout lists Xelia Mendes-Jones, identified there by their previous credit in The Wheel of Time, among the principal cast. The TVmaze cast database links the same actor to the character Dane, which is the only role credited to Mendes-Jones in the sources reviewed for this article.
The name is sometimes confused with the character’s, so it helps to separate the two. Xelia Mendes-Jones is the actor. Dane is the character. Mendes-Jones’s pronouns are listed as he/they on TVmaze’s cast profile, and this article uses those pronouns.
Dane’s place in the show
Dane belongs to the Brotherhood of Steel, the military-style faction that recurs across the Fallout series. The show itself establishes the affiliation. A fan-maintained Fallout Wiki character entry adds a more specific detail: that Dane is a member of the Knights of San Fernando chapter. That chapter name comes from secondary reference material, not from an official statement by the show’s creators, so treat it as franchise lore rather than confirmed series canon.

The Season 2 post-credits scene
TIME’s recap of the Season 2 finale, published February 4, 2026, describes a post-credits scene in which Dane meets Brotherhood leader Quintus and hands over materials Quintus has requested. This is the most concrete plot description of Dane’s role in the material reviewed. TIME’s recap spells the character’s name as “Dean” in one sentence while identifying the same actor as the performer. That spelling appears to be a typo, and the character’s name is spelled Dane throughout the cast listings and this article.
