Why was Revenant temporarily removed?
Respawn’s official Apex Legends update said: “We’ve temporarily removed Revenant from play as we work through a bug with him across modes.” The announcement did not identify the bug’s technical cause, describe player symptoms, or specify which modes were affected. Claims about a particular exploit or mechanism are not confirmed by the update.

The notice was published on Steam on August 14, 2025. It named no individual speaker, so the statement is attributable to the official Apex Legends team rather than to a specific developer. Read the official Revenant update.
When did Revenant come back?
Respawn edited the same update at 4:43 p.m. PT on August 14 to report that it had pushed a fix and re-enabled Revenant. The edit also said a connection interruption “appears to be recovering now.” It did not provide an initial estimate for Revenant’s return.

Was Revenant removed in Season 25?
No. The incident was in Season 26, not Season 25. EA’s season history dates Prodigy (Season 25) from May 6 through August 4, 2025, and Showdown (Season 26) from August 5 through November 3, 2025. Since Respawn’s update is dated August 14, it falls within Season 26. EA’s Apex Legends season history.
