You are probably not doing anything wrong. Riven Slivers are chance-based rewards, and Eximus enemies only qualify when they are level 30 or higher. Digital Extremes lists a 2% chance for both regular and Steel Path Eximus, so even a valid kill usually produces nothing. Requiem Relics and Steel Path Railjack Eximus are additional routes, but older advice about specific Requiem I–IV relics is outdated.
The quickest diagnosis is to check the enemy level, confirm that the target was Eximus, and identify whether you are using a current relic or Railjack source. None of the published rules makes a Sliver guaranteed after a mission or a fixed number of kills.

Why an eligible kill can still give no Riven Sliver
There are three separate checks behind a Sliver drop: the enemy must be an eligible source, the source must be in the current loot system, and the random roll must succeed. Failing any one of those checks means the result is no Sliver.

The enemy may not meet the level gate
Digital Extremes’ Veilbreaker: Update 32 states that Riven Slivers still only have a chance to drop from Eximus enemies level 30 and over. An Eximus unit below level 30 does not qualify for that published Eximus chance, even though its nameplate identifies it as Eximus.

The drop is not guaranteed
Update 32 lists a 2% chance for regular Eximus and a 2% chance for Steel Path Eximus. That is a per-eligible-enemy chance, not a mission reward. As a rough interpretation, a large number of eligible rolls averages about two successful drops per 100 rolls, but any individual kill can fail. Ten, 20, or even many more qualifying kills without a Sliver are therefore compatible with the stated odds.
You may be following an obsolete source
Requiem Relics remain a recognized Sliver source, but the relic pool changed. Update 42 removed Requiem I, II, III, and IV from drop tables and introduced Requiem Eterna. A guide telling you to farm one of the four retired relic names may describe an earlier version of Warframe rather than the current system.
How Eximus Sliver drops work
| Eximus source | Eligibility | Published chance | What the number means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular mission Eximus | Enemy level 30 or higher | 2% (Update 32) | Each eligible enemy gets a chance; no mission guarantee |
| Steel Path Eximus | Enemy level 30 or higher | 2% (Update 32) | The cited patch notes do not make the reward guaranteed or increase it above 2% |
The same Update 32 notes describe the changes as an increase from 0.5% to 2% for regular Eximus and from 1% to 2% for Steel Path Eximus. Those are developer-published patch-note rates, not a promise about your next run. Drop systems can change in later patches, so use current in-game information or a newer official notice if a subsequent update changes the table.

What counts as an eligible opportunity
- The unit must be Eximus, not an ordinary enemy.
- Its level must be at least 30 under the Update 32 rule.
- The unit must actually be defeated; seeing or damaging an Eximus does not create a reward by itself.
- The random drop roll must succeed. A completed mission is not a separate guaranteed Sliver roll in the cited rules.
A step-by-step check before you farm more
- Read the enemy level. During the mission, inspect Eximus units and verify that their level is 30 or higher. If the mission spawns lower-level Eximus, those kills do not meet the published gate.
- Confirm the unit type. Count only enemies marked Eximus. Normal heavy units, bosses, and other special enemies are not covered by the Eximus rate in Update 32.
- Separate ordinary and Steel Path runs. Both have the 2% rate stated in Update 32, provided the Eximus level requirement is met. Switching to Steel Path alone does not turn the reward into a guaranteed drop.
- Track eligible kills, not mission count. One mission can contain no qualifying Eximus or several. Record the number of level-30-plus Eximus defeats instead of expecting one Sliver per completed node.
- Allow for ordinary bad luck. Because the chance is small, a dry streak is expected. The published rate does not specify a pity system, protection after repeated failures, or a guaranteed reward threshold.
- Check whether your intended route is a relic route. If you are opening Requiem Relics, verify that the relic and reward table are current rather than relying on a guide that predates Update 42.
Requiem Relics: what changed and what still applies
Warframe’s official Mods Guide names Requiem Relics as a common Riven Sliver source and also identifies Eximus enemies as a source. The guide is useful for the overall acquisition concept, but the relic inventory was revised later.
Old Requiem I–IV relics are no longer in drop tables
Update 42: The Shadowgrapher removed Requiem I, II, III, and IV from drop tables and replaced them with the Requiem Eterna Relic. Consequently, a current player may open a different relic type from the one named in an older farming video. The absence of an old relic from your rewards is not, by itself, evidence of an account problem.
Retired relics moved to Palladino’s offerings
Update 42 also moved the retired Requiem Relics to Palladino’s wares in exchange for Slivers. This creates a circular system: Slivers can come from current activities, then be spent to obtain retired relic-related items. It does not mean that every relic opening awards a Sliver, and the cited official passages do not provide a single comparable percentage for Requiem Relic rewards.

How to use relic advice safely
- Check the publication date of any guide that names a specific Requiem I–IV relic.
- Use the current relic labels shown in your own Star Chart, inventory, or mission reward screen.
- Do not transfer the 2% Eximus rate to relics; the reviewed official notes do not establish that relic reward probability.
- If an older guide conflicts with Update 42, follow the current in-game table and the latest official patch information.
Steel Path Railjack is another current route
Update 43: Jade Shadows: Constellations specifically says that Eximus enemies in Steel Path Railjack have a chance to drop Riven Slivers, as well as Steel Essence, when defeated. This is a separate source from the regular Eximus rule.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe cited Update 43 passage does not state a numeric Sliver probability for Steel Path Railjack. Treat it as a chance-based option, not as a faster or guaranteed replacement for ordinary Eximus farming. You still need access to Steel Path Railjack and must defeat the qualifying Eximus enemies; the update excerpt does not establish a universal mission reward or a fixed number of Slivers per voyage.
Which farming route should you choose?
| Route | What you need | Known rate in the cited official material | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level-30-plus Eximus in regular missions | Mission enemies identified as Eximus and level 30 or higher | 2% per eligible Eximus (Update 32) | Players who prefer ordinary mission combat |
| Level-30-plus Eximus in Steel Path | Steel Path access plus Eximus at level 30 or higher | 2% per eligible Eximus (Update 32) | Players already running Steel Path content |
| Requiem Relic rewards | A current Requiem Relic and a relic-opening mission | Not stated in the cited official material | Players who already have relics or prefer relic missions |
| Steel Path Railjack Eximus | Steel Path Railjack access and qualifying Eximus kills | Chance confirmed; numeric rate not stated in Update 43 excerpt | Players combining Sliver hunting with Railjack objectives |
No reviewed official source supplies enough comparable data to declare one of these routes objectively fastest. Your practical choice depends on which content you can run consistently and how many eligible opportunities it produces, not on an assumption that Steel Path or Railjack automatically multiplies the reward.
Do not confuse earning Slivers with spending them
Riven Slivers are an in-game resource used at Palladino in Iron Wake. The official Mods Guide describes a weekly Riven purchase for Slivers. Update 42 expanded Palladino’s exchange offerings, including retired relics and other items.
This creates two different questions:
- Why did I receive none? Check eligibility, source availability, and chance-based rolls.
- Why can’t I buy the item I want? Visit Palladino in Iron Wake and inspect the current weekly wares and exchange costs; offerings can change with updates.
Having enough Slivers for a purchase does not alter the drop chance of future Eximus kills. Conversely, failing to see a desired Palladino item does not prove that your recent mission failed to award a Sliver; it may be a weekly-rotation or offering change.

“I killed Eximus enemies, but none dropped.”
Check their levels first. If they were below level 30, the Update 32 eligibility rule excludes them. If they were level 30 or higher, the result can still be normal because the listed chance is only 2%.

“I ran Steel Path, so why was there no Sliver?”
Steel Path Eximus are still chance-based. Update 32 lists 2%, not 100%, and the enemy must satisfy the level requirement. Steel Path status by itself is not a guarantee.
“A video says to farm Requiem III, but I cannot find it.”
That advice is likely from before Update 42. Requiem I–IV were removed from drop tables and Requiem Eterna was introduced. Retired relics are available through Palladino’s Sliver exchange rather than the former drop tables.
“I opened a Requiem Relic and got no Sliver.”
The official material confirms Requiem Relics as a source but does not establish a guaranteed reward or a rate comparable to the 2% Eximus figure. One unsuccessful opening does not demonstrate a bug.
“Can I farm Slivers in Railjack?”
Yes, the Update 43 notes identify Steel Path Railjack Eximus as a chance-based source. The cited passage does not publish its percentage, so do not use the regular Eximus 2% figure as a Railjack rate.
When a support report would be reasonable
The available rules cannot diagnose a particular account without details such as the mission, enemy levels, enemy type, number of eligible kills, and whether a relic or Railjack source was used. Before reporting a suspected issue, capture that information and verify the current patch notes or in-game reward screen.
A support request becomes more useful when you can show a repeatable discrepancy—for example, a reward screen or inventory record that contradicts the current table—not merely a streak of unsuccessful 2% rolls. Do not treat historical drop rates from Update 26 as current evidence. Update 26: The Old Blood documents the historical introduction of Slivers and Palladino’s exchange, but later updates changed the surrounding relic system.
The practical answer
If you cannot get Riven Slivers, first verify that your Eximus enemies are level 30 or higher. Then expect many eligible kills to fail because the published regular and Steel Path chance is 2%. If you are using relics, replace old Requiem I–IV instructions with the current Requiem Eterna system and check Palladino’s updated wares. For another option, run Steel Path Railjack Eximus, understanding that Update 43 confirms the chance but does not give a numeric rate. These checks explain the usual outcome without assuming a bug.
