If the Gallery opens but shows no creations, start by clearing or broadening your filters and search terms, then confirm that Online Features Access is enabled. If the Gallery is missing altogether, check account eligibility, EA service notices, and network or security software. Electronic Arts acknowledged a Gallery filter problem in an April 28, 2026 update, so an empty or partial result does not automatically mean that content was removed.
Work out which problem you have
“Can’t see anything” covers two different situations. The Gallery itself may be unavailable, or it may open normally while the Community results are empty or wrong. The fix depends on which one you are seeing. On PC or Mac, the Gallery icon sits at the top right of the screen, and F4 opens it. You can also reach it from the Main Menu. The Gallery and My Library use separate tabs and filters, so a creation that appears in one may not appear in the other.

Reset filters and search before anything else
An empty result is most often caused by the search itself. Work through these steps in order and check the results after each one.
- Clear the text query in the search field.
- Broaden the category and pack filters. Filters for packs you do not own can hide creations that depend on them.
- Switch to the Community tab if you are looking for other players’ creations. My Library only shows your own content.
- Try a known item name, a creator’s EA Account ID, or a hashtag.
- If only certain uploads are missing, check the custom-content filter.
The Community tab can show all creations, Maxis-curated creations, or creations from players you follow. It can sort by newest or by popularity, and it can filter by category and by the packs you own.

In April 2026, EA said some users’ Gallery results did not match expectations because of a problem with the filter options. The affected build numbers were PC 1.123.85.1020, Mac 1.123.85.1220, and console version 2.32. EA said no Gallery content had been removed and that the affected content could still be viewed and downloaded. Those build numbers identify the release covered by that notice. Check EA’s notices for anything published after it, because later builds may behave differently.
Confirm online features and account eligibility
The installed game can run offline, but Gallery access requires an internet connection. EA’s Sims 4 FAQ states: “An internet connection is required to activate your game and to access additional content and online features.” Electronic Arts, The Sims 4 FAQ.

If the Gallery is missing rather than empty, check these conditions:
- Age: EA’s Gallery help restricts Gallery use to players aged 13 and older.
- Online Social Features: EA Forum guidance lists a disabled Online Social Features setting as a cause of Gallery unavailability. Turn it on and restart.
- Child accounts: The account’s status can block online features. EA Forum guidance names child-account status as a possible cause.
- Edition: EA Forum guidance names the Legacy Edition among causes of Gallery unavailability. Check which edition you are running.
Check for an EA service issue
Before changing local settings, check EA’s current service notices and the Gallery status thread on the EA Forums. The status shown on the forum thread is a snapshot and can change. If the problem is on EA’s side, no change on your computer or console will fix it. In that case, waiting and checking again later is the correct response.

Console: refresh the account and game state
These steps come from EA Forum guidance for console players. Menu labels can change with platform updates, so match the wording to what your console shows.
- Open Game Options and go to Other. If a Link Your EA Account option appears, select it and relink the account when prompted. This is the usual fix after an outage.
- Check the Online Features Access setting.
- Update both the game and the console system software.
- Close the game completely and relaunch it.
- If the Gallery still fails to display items, fully power down the console instead of using rest mode, then start it again.
PC and Mac: test the network and local software
If the Gallery is still blank or fails to load on a computer, separate a network problem from a local one.

- Connect to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot. If the Gallery loads there, the problem is with your home or work network, its firewall, or its security settings.
- Check that your security software permits both the EA app and The Sims 4. Add them to the allowed list if needed.
- In the game or EA app, check compatibility mode settings and clear the cache using EA’s current instructions.
- As a diagnostic, you can temporarily move the Sims 4 user folder to the desktop. On Windows this folder is usually in Documents, under Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4. Back up your saves before moving any files, and move the folder back after testing.
If Gallery tiles show red X placeholders rather than being missing, EA’s troubleshooting thread links this symptom to antivirus access to the user folder. Adjust the security software’s exceptions for that folder rather than reinstalling the game.

If a single household, Lot, or item does not appear, a total connection failure is unlikely. Check three things: whether the creation requires custom or exclusive content you do not have installed, whether your search or filters exclude it, and whether the creator has kept the upload available. If the required content is installed but still does not appear, restart the game and try again.

Keep the cause in view
Most “nothing to see” reports resolve in one of three ways: a filter or search term hid the results, a settings or account condition blocked Gallery access, or a network or security tool stopped the game from reaching online services. Work through the matching section above and stop when the Gallery loads.
