Code Violet is not listed for PC because TeamKill Media said it wanted to prevent sexualized or pornographic mods of the game’s characters. Why did TeamKill Media rule out a PC release?
In a statement reported on January 20, 2025, TeamKill Media said it was not bringing Code Violet to PC because it did not want players making “vulgar versions” of its characters. The studio said it held the voice actors and its artistic vision for the game and story in high regard, and objected to sexual mods that could undermine them. PC Gamer reported the studio’s explanation; Time Extension reproduced a fuller version of its statement.
TeamKill also said the decision was not a rejection of PC players, the PC platform, or modding in general. It said it was specifically against pornographic mods. The studio described a concern about what might happen; the contemporaneous reports do not identify a particular mod or incident that triggered the decision.
Is Code Violet on PC now?
As of October 8, 2026, the official listings checked identify Code Violet as a PS5 release, not a PC release. TeamKill Media’s official website lists the game as released on PS5 on January 10, 2026. The US PlayStation Store listing gives the same platform and date. These listings establish its currently shown status, but do not settle whether the developer could announce another platform in the future.
