Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThere is no single cause you can identify from “MineColonies keeps crashing” alone. Start by checking that Minecraft, Forge or NeoForge, MineColonies, and its required dependencies are built for compatible Minecraft versions. If that does not resolve it, the crash report, complete mod list, and the point at which the game fails are needed to narrow down the cause.
Check that Minecraft, the loader, and MineColonies versions match
MineColonies’ installation guidance says to use Forge or NeoForge for your Minecraft version, download the MineColonies build for that same Minecraft version, and install its listed dependencies. Treat this as a compatibility check, not proof that a mismatch caused your particular crash. See the official installation instructions.
Check the versions of these components together:
- Minecraft
- Forge or NeoForge
- MineColonies
- Structurize
- Domum Ornamentum
- BlockUI
- Multipiston
Also note the versions of any other installed mods. The MineColonies manual names the four dependencies above; it does not establish that any one of them is responsible for a crash in your setup.
Check whether a modpack is outdated
If you installed MineColonies through a modpack, check the pack’s last update and the versions it includes. MineColonies cautions that some packs may not have been updated recently, may use a Minecraft version no longer actively supported, or may include an outdated MineColonies version. The official downloads page says a launcher bundles dependency mods automatically; manual installation requires choosing dependencies for the current Minecraft version.

Use when the crash happens to choose the next step
Write down the exact point of failure rather than describing every problem as a MineColonies crash. Different timing and actions can point to different issues, and a report that mentions MineColonies does not by itself prove that it is the only cause.
- Before the main menu: Record the loader and every installed mod version. If the cause is unclear, the official manual recommends asking for help in the MineColonies Discord channels.
- While loading or joining a world: Note whether this happens every time and whether it affects one world or more than one. Save the crash report and relevant log.
- After entering a colony or during a specific action: Record what you did immediately before the crash, such as placing or building, and whether you can reproduce it.
- Only in multiplayer: Include that detail in your report, along with whether the issue also occurs in single-player.
A historical issue opened November 13, 2024, described a world crashing a few seconds after loading during colony building. The report listed Minecraft 1.20, MineColonies 1.1.732, and Structurize 1.0.760. That is an example of a reported symptom and software combination, not evidence that the same bug explains another player’s crash: the issue report.
Gather the details needed to diagnose it
Before asking for help, collect the complete software list and a reproducible description. The official issue template requests version information, related mods, play mode, reproduction steps, and logs.
- Record the exact Minecraft, Forge or NeoForge, MineColonies, and dependency versions, plus the versions of other installed mods.
- State whether you play single-player or multiplayer and describe where in the game the crash occurs.
- List the steps that trigger the crash, including the action immediately before it happens.
- Attach the crash report and relevant log. Do not rely on a short summary such as “it crashes when I build.”
- Search existing MineColonies issues for a matching version and symptom before filing a new report.
The project describes MineColonies as “an interactive building mod that allows you to create a thriving town within Minecraft.” The description identifies the mod, but it does not establish a general cause or rate for crashes. See the MineColonies project repository.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
What you can and cannot conclude without a crash report
Without your crash report, mod list, versions, and reproduction steps, the cause remains unresolved. A crash report may mention MineColonies because it was involved when the failure occurred; that alone does not establish that MineColonies is the sole cause. The available official guidance and example issue do not establish that a particular dependency, graphics mod, memory shortage, or world corruption is responsible for your case. Use the logged error and complete setup details rather than guessing.
