Players and reviewers have described Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin as blurry, jagged, visually dated, or unstable in performance. Reviews report that choosing a visual-priority mode did not remove all concerns on PS5, while PC coverage adds complaints about aliasing and pop-in. The evidence points to a mix of image-quality and performance shortcomings—not one proven technical cause shared by every platform.
What reviewers reported on PS5
Two PS5 reviews criticized the presentation or performance. One reported frame-rate trouble in both visual-priority modes; another described stuttering in performance mode. Those observations indicate that switching modes did not resolve those reviewers’ concerns, but they do not establish the game’s exact resolution, frame rate, or rendering technique. What PC coverage adds

Is the problem limited to one platform?
No: Windows Central also criticized visual quality and performance on Xbox Series X. Taken together, reviews and PC coverage report concerns across PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, but they are not a controlled comparison. So why does it look bad?
The most defensible answer is that players are reacting to a combination of reported image-quality shortcomings—such as blur, jagged edges, and pop-in—and performance problems such as stuttering or frame-rate trouble. The cited coverage does not identify a single underlying technical cause. It also does not justify naming a precise resolution or frame rate, attributing the issue to a particular graphics setting, or assuming that upgrading hardware will fix a game-specific rendering or optimization problem.
