There isn’t one confirmed XSplit bug behind every video that stops looping. First identify what XSplit is playing: a local video file, a YouTube webpage, or a YouTube Live broadcast. Those are separate parts of the setup, and the fix depends on which one is stopping.
First identify what is stopping
Check XSplit’s preview as well as the YouTube broadcast. If the clip stops in XSplit’s preview, investigate the source. If it continues in the preview but stops on YouTube, investigate the broadcast output separately. XSplit’s documentation treats scene sources and broadcast output as distinct parts of setup; this distinction is a troubleshooting method, not a confirmed diagnosis for every case. XSplit’s source guide covers the available source types, while its YouTube Live encoder guide covers broadcast setup.
- Local file: a video file added as an XSplit Video source.
- YouTube webpage: a Webpage source rendering a page inside XSplit.
- Live output: the source may still play in XSplit while the YouTube broadcast has a separate problem.
If you mean a YouTube replay watched in an ordinary browser, rather than a source or live output in XSplit, the XSplit documentation below does not establish why that replay would stop looping.
If a local video file stops
Check the Video source and its playback controls
- In XSplit Broadcaster, right-click the Video source and open its properties.
- Confirm that the intended file is linked to that source and inspect its playback controls. XSplit documents local Video File playback settings in the source properties. See XSplit’s Image, Video, and Audio Source guide.
- Check whether the problem affects one file or every file. Note the file format and XSplit version so you can compare behavior consistently.
XSplit lists formats including MP4, FLV, and WEBM for local video sources. Support for a format does not establish that a particular file is healthy or that a playback problem has a single cause.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Use a source suited to the playback job
For a sequence of clips that should play continuously, try XSplit’s Video Playlist source. For a presentation combining videos and images, consider Media Slideshow. XSplit describes Video Playlist as supporting continuous playback and other playback options; its product page describes Media Slideshow as able to loop multiple images or videos. These are different source types, so choose according to whether you need a clip list or a slideshow. Source types · XSplit Broadcaster
Test processing settings cautiously
If playback stalls or is inconsistent, record the current setting before changing it. XSplit documents CPU/GPU video processing options and a legacy Media Foundation engine for supported local formats MP4, WMV, AVI, and ASF. Treat these as controlled troubleshooting options, not guaranteed fixes: change one setting at a time and check whether the same file behaves differently. XSplit’s Settings guide

If XSplit is playing a YouTube webpage
A Webpage source is not the same as a local Video File source. Confirm the source type in XSplit before changing media playback settings. XSplit lists Webpage and Video File as separate sources.
- As a diagnostic, compare the behavior with the same clip loaded as a local file, if you have a lawful local copy. This test can help distinguish webpage rendering from file playback; it is not an official XSplit or YouTube recommendation.
- If Browser Source Special Optimization is enabled, test with it disabled, then compare. XSplit warns that this optimization may not work perfectly on some systems and can result in a black or empty webpage. That warning does not specifically identify a stopped video loop as its effect. XSplit’s Settings guide
The available official documentation does not confirm a YouTube policy, browser restriction, or single XSplit defect as the cause of this symptom.

If the source plays but the YouTube broadcast does not
Check the source preview and broadcast output separately. If the source keeps playing in XSplit but the live output does not show it, focus on the broadcast configuration rather than assuming the media source’s loop control failed. XSplit’s YouTube Live guide covers encoder-based broadcast setup; the source in the scene governs the media playback. YouTube’s guide to creating a live stream with an encoder
